33:25 why couldn't a haint be placed at 21? There is nothing there. After watching the playthrough I'm still confused how the game works solo.

I feel like the solo play was an afterthought. Isn’t Hester the bad guy? I never like playing the bad guy. I think designers are going to have to take better care for Solo play if they are trying to increase their revenue…which we know is their goal.

We spent a lot of time trying to get our solo mode to work and for it to be fun and exciting. There is a reason why we made Hester the solo mode. She's the third player in this game, and if you never play 3 players then all the Hester content is wasted on you. This way you get to play with all the components in the box, plus it allows you to practice playing as Hester before you play against 2 human opponents!

@@OffThePageGames This game looks very good, and as a recent fan of the comic (I bought the comics after the game campaign), I feel really bad on passing. This month i s just REALLY bad and have to draw the line somewhere. My kids prefer co-ops and less confrontational games (we have a sore loser problem), so this was the right place to draw the line. I’m sorry. I really want this.

For me the art is really a let down. To cartoony. They should have let awaken realms do the art and make it really dark and gritty. Pity.

This is art straight from the VERY DARK AND VERY GRAPHIC novel. It might be the same artist.

@@jhowd78 Correct - same artist from the comic that it's based on. When you take a closer look at it, it's beautiful water colour art! I think it's amazing, but to each their own!

Right, those interested in this game should also be interested in picking up the graphic novel to fully appreciate. I mean artist does a skinless boy without being absolutely disgusting so props for that!

@@lucky6666 I do love the art! If the solo could be one of the human good guys/or kids that would sell me right away. Maybe they’ll have characters that you can add later as expansions?

@@sablestar1956 Hmm - well there really is only 1 faction that is considered the 'good guys' - the Protectors. The Family and Kammi are both antagonists in the story and in the game. Maybe one day we'll figure out a way to do it - but that would take a lot more time to figure out for this campaign!

the idea of this game being like "a root game" sounds cool. the problem is that the art looks like absolute shit.

Just FYI - the solo cards he was using aren't the solo cards in the final game - those were sent as prototype. The rest of the art, when viewed closer up looks amazing - but of course, to each their own.
