ah love this! My sister and brother were born here in '55 and '56 and this is the first walking tour vid I've seen. There's some major irony in what I've learned from this video regarding King Charles I. Our 8x great uncle was Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Axtell who was commander of the guards at the King's trial. He himself would be charged with treason and be also hanged drawn and quartered at Tyburn with his head place on a spike at Westminster Hall. Just literally found this out 2 weeks back! Thank you for this!

My friend lives here and I absolutely love it! Makes me feel like both a whimsical fairy and a road man all at the same time; the barbers in the station is truly London best kept secret, I often debate taking the 45 min train just to smell the same air that the horrowians smell. Sinead, I spent an afternoon wandering around Harrow-on-the-Hill and St. Mary's Church, when I last visited London in 2018. I also felt like I'd stepped back in time - loved Harrow-on-the-Hill. When I heard about the plaque, commemorating the spot where King Charles I stopped to water his horse and take a look at London, I wanted to find it. You also mentioned looking for the plaque in the video, but it's not easy to find. It took me several (enjoyable) hours to find it. It's a small plaque on the wall of one of the Harrow School buildings, on the left side of Grove Hill, just past the spot where it meets Peterborough Rd. You actually caught it from a distance on film from 14m33s to 14m39s in the video. It's beside the car parked on the left, looking up Grove Hill from where you were standing on Peterborough Rd.

Great tour! The path you mentioned in the video is semi-private, you can go down it but its a footpath only. I tried it, and you didn’t miss much. The school tour is much more interesting, as are the two cosy little family run cafés I dropped into (Battell’s? & The Doll’s House). St Mary’s Church was interesting, worth filming, esp the spooky graveyard that has Lord Byron’s grave behind iron bars and a rather Sci-Fi looking tomb dating back to the 1700’s, looks near new and something out of a Star Trek Movie! Also found you can catch the train from Harrow-On-The-Hill Station to Hogwarts by travelling to Kings Cross Station, changing on platform. 13&3/4!🪄🧙
