I don't think it's so much about being working royals and non-working royals. If Harry and Meghan had left and focused on charity work and not on endless books, interviews, podcasts, docuseries, and televised counseling sessions trashing the family and the country, I think they would be welcomed on the balcony and in everyone's heart. It's their behavior that has made the royal family and the British citizens not want them there.

Had she done her homework, she would have realized that working royals are paid salaries through the Cornwall Duchee. Yes the Duchee is well off but King Charles had ran it like a very good business and it is now Prince William,'s responsibility. It's why they consistently blame others, play victim, and project their own flaws and failures onto family (and, in private, probably onto each other!). Thank you for your well thought comment, I agree with you in parts, and I'd like to add a few of my thoughts too.... they are two very complex personalities and we could write a book about them.... I think that they have NO AWARENESS of what they've done, in their minds they did nothing wrong, they only expressed their feelings so the family can understand them better, accept their truth and and move along the lines of THAT truth. Remember, they said that after the docuseries and the book, there will be reconciliation, and everything will be normal between them all.... completely deluded and unaware, this is what they are. That's why they expect apologies from the family that hurt THEM and made THEM feeling awful, but they would NEVER apologize for anything, as they are totally convinced that they did nothing wrong. I think they’ve behaved not too badly at Royal events in the past, so I don’t think they really are going to be a big problem as long as they keep some dignity & don’t go rogue. There will be protocols in place to ensure smooth running of the Coronation. The World will be watching & these things have been planned for a long time. Other non working royals should be really peeved with H and M as they are all now being prevented from being on the balcony due to H and M's behaviour.This is such a momentous occasion that the rule should be All the Royals who haven't been traitorous to the monarchy should be on the balcony and a definite rejection of those two. Well, how do we know he hasn’t done just that? The couple has been invited to view the Coronation as spectators, presumably with an RSVP deadline. All the kerfuffle and commotions are coming from the Sussex side, BP is maintaining a dignified silence. We shouldn’t assume that just because those idiots are making their ludicrous demands that there is any corresponding engagement on the RF side. There isn’t the faintest indication that BP is, in fact, engaging in any kind of dialogue with them at all - in fact the King has been ‘too busy’ to see Harry while he is in London now. I think we will find the RF isn’t giving an inch - they can RSVP on time, show up for their place in the cheap seats, no tiaras or coronets, no procession, no formal role, no kids in tow, no balcony. Take it or leave it.

i think “working royals only” is appropriate. They’re the ones doing the work, they should get the big perk. When I see them out attending an event I think, bet they can’t wait to get home and slip into comfortable shoes, to watch some tv, or just relax with reading or hobbies. They do leave their homes for these events. I’ve had this situation happen, I planned an entire conference, all the details…and the night before there was a speaker dinner, this young woman who used to plan the event came and stole the limelight….she had helped with one thing and was treated like the conference planner. That’s the balcony moment. KC is lucky to have William and Catherine, two mature adults who won’t act out because of this…but the seed of annoyance is planted.

Having nothing better to do I tracked down Queen Elizabeth II balcony scene at her coronation. Royals - the Queen, Prince Philip, The Queen Mother, Princess Margaret, Prince Charles and Princess Anne - so only 6. But the balcony was packed with ladies in waiting and pages which I think was lovely. I do think the renegade royals could have a balcony moment out the back at 3am and he could commune with foxes

Now she wants Harry's family for a family shot? She could have had it all, everything a heart's desire. Grain of salt etc. I think a lot of stories are media driven to sell content etc. So much is really quite irrational. Why would M&H suddenly pop up on the balcony when they’ve not been asked to do so more than once before - “not working Royals” Just think, if it doesn’t make sense, it’s probably just a made up story to get some controversy. I love the thought of giant candles. King Charles is a committed Christian and if he allows H a moment in the spotlight he may be thinking of the parable of The Prodigal Son. Charles and Anne only came into the Abbey to see their mother actually crowned because the long Coronation Service would have been too tiring for them. They stood on a balcony inside the Abbey with HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and their Aunt Princess Margaret. I think Louis might find the Service rather long but he will be 8 months older than he was at the Platinum Jubilee Parade. When it comes to the Buckingham Palace Balcony appearance it will be easier to either just have the King and Queen, and the Prince and Princess of Wales although I would like to see ALL the WORKING Royals and their families as well. The Princess Royal and family, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and his sister Princess Alexandra. Of the York family only Princess Beatrice, her husband and daughter should be there as I believe Eugenie is firmly in The Sussex camp and Andrew can be in interior Palace family portraits and not on the balcony as although he has never be charges with a criminal offence his poor judgement has made him an embarrassment.

I’m convinced at this point, that every time Harry comes to see the family for some event, he is STILL trying to get his way of half in, half out of the family royal duties that they originally asked to have & her late Majesty told them NO. Very manipulative & sneaky. Also, the “ family moment “ is also divisive. I’m thinking that what Meghan SO hopes will happen is that at some point King Charles will pick up one of their children. IF he does that, it will be the same as accepting those two children as FAMILY. So, If the King is wise, he’ll keep that family far away from him or, If he has to talk to Harry, have witnesses there. I've sorted out Balcony problem but not the military uniform: have Matthew Magee, 7"2 former private secretary to late Queen & 'Tall Paul', 6"4, courtier to stand in front of them, amongst whole extended family members with jostling tiaras, crowding them out at v back, 3 rows deep with attention-defeceit, charmingly disorderly little cousins inadvertently stealing their last family royal photo-op historic moment! 😅

I do think the only way for Harry and Meghan to be on the balcony is like you say, all the extended family also on the balcony, with Harry and Meghan away from the King, Queen, Prince and Princess of Wales (and Family). I think they would find that harder that not being on the balcony.

Absolutely let them be on the balcony. It would be great content for their next Netflix show. Imagine the scene showing thousands and thousands of people booing them. Are they really THAT stupid that they don’t see that being massively booed is inevitable. Totally unaware of reality.

I think it’s ok to invite them, as long as they are given very low profile. They should not sit near the senior royals and certainly not in any regalia, just day clothes. If you look at Queen Elizabeth’s coronation balcony photos, she gave space for her maids of honour and some male attendants who had assisted her through the long ceremony, which was a well deserved gesture. The only others were closest family, no extended non senior royals. I hope Charles does the same. 🤞🤞 I suppose if Andrew doesn’t appear either it’s a good excuse to justify not having them on there.

I am also sad that they have to cut back on some of the pageantry of the coronation just to avoid allowing H&M any opportunities. I would love to see all the pageantry and celebration rolled out for this momentous occasion.

How can standing on the balcony with 1000s of spectators, be called a private family moment? They can be inside the Palace and have many family moments before and after the working royals go out on the balcony for an ultra-public part of the day.
