Hey everyone, Marlo here! Here’s a message almost as long as my round: What an honour it was to be Harry’s last battle (though I’m hoping that was all some strange joke he was making and fingers crossed we’ll see him back on a BR stage again!) Thanks all for watching. Agree this really wasn’t my best performance by a long shot. No excuses but here’s a bunch of excuses: I think there was a combo of poor health on the day (hence the Lemsip at the start), the fact that in my mind I wanted to make this a bit more of a knockabout, ‘rough and tumble’ so the content isn’t always the most hard hitting and - being truthfully honest - there’s a lot of throwaways I had for other battles here that I just wanted to get out there (that may as well have stayed thrown away 😂). As we were unsure until a week before if this would be 3 or 1 round, I condensed 3rounds into one. Huge shouts to Harry for having the discipline to stick to a nice clean 50 bars, something I could never do, but that’s why he’s the professional wordsmith! Sorry to those disappointed in my performance - I didn’t think it was *all* that bad just quite lite overall, so I promise I’ll be back stronger next time round! Love to you all and remember: Do what you love in 2025 ❤

In another venue with a crowd on their feet and more up for it, no one would have thought it wasn't good. Very clever verse, poor crowd. Makes all the difference.

@ I appreciate that 🙏 definitely had similar thought because crowd reaction 100% makes a difference to the perception of the footage on release (and I do think a lot of people don’t always take that into consideration on here). Nonetheless it’s still on me for treating some of the material lightly ‘cause this crowd was well up for a laugh the whole event and sometimes when you don’t inject enough momentum into your round structure it can lose a crowd pretty easily - all a good learning for next time though! Appreciate you ❤️

I thought you material was really good tbh a lot of quatables and creatie bars even if some of them were throw-aways (didn't seem like they were watching it). It was just unfortunate that you were under the weather so the delivery wasn't super clean but an inactive crowd can definatly make that seem a lot worse than it actually is I think (with crowd reaction you would have gotten into the flow a bit more I think).
