Where did the time go. Such a loss. We’ve lost to many but that’s part of life. I was fortunate enough to be able to listen to this gentleman. Thank you Harry for being a part of my life’s journey.

Harry Chapin did a concert at my high school in 1974. He came by himself and had some of our high school chorus members assist on certain songs. One of our teachers was an old friend. He sat on the edge of the stage with his legs dangling. I was in row 3 and I could see his every expression during the concert. It was like a high school assembly with a major recording artist as the speaker. There were no ticket sales, it was just Harry and his guitar.

That was so Cool, & Kind of Harry to do that... Those are the kind of moments that get suspended in time! What a Great & Solid Voice! I wonder if Artists Hang Out in Heaven... Watching People Relive their Music, & playing their best Talents & Singing New Songs... For God... is REAL! Eternity is REAL... Love to those that write & sing Sad Melodies... That touch millions & impact Lives! 🙏🏻💕🕊🍃

If I had one of those "moments of greatness" , that would be on my new list. BJ Thomas played at our high school auditorium in 1975. It was the first year of our towns annual "Fun Festival" BJ was a letdown for me. I loved his songs and style. Like Harry, BJ's voice was the show. The music played second fiddle and hovered in the background. At this event, the instruments way overpowered his vocals. I think his alcohol and or drug usage was at it's high point about that time. I would have loved to have seen Harry there instead. He sang some powerful music 👍

Love the beard Harry...yes we need more Harry Chapins!!! He gave his time and gift of writing, and money. My 74 yr old mother got invited to see him by a girlfriend she was just a girl, in that small way there is a connection as all things are.

There was no one like Harry. Saw him in concert at least a dozen times and bought all the records. I thought I'd seen every live recording of his shows until I saw this. A BIG thank you! The sound might not be great and his voice was a little growly that night but he plowed right through it like always and gave 100%.

One of my guitar students introduced me to Harry. There were some Harry Chapin songs he wanted to learn, so I took the time to look into him, and I was hooked by the third number. What a talent and what a gift that student brought me. Rest In God’s Own Peace, Harry; and thank you.

So down to earth, such a man of the people, who loved everyone, and wanted to help the world, not for aclaim, but because he knew the direction the world was headed in. He would be close to eighty yrs old by now, but I have no doubt he would still be trying to solve the world hunger problem, and of course, still writing his story songs. Heaven gained an Angel, and heaven is rocking and rolling.

Wow!!! Absolutely fascinating. First time seeing "Sunday Morning Subshine" & "Six String Orchestra" performed live. Also the first time seeing concert footage with Ron Palmer though I've heard the banter in other concerts. Palmer had a Tommy Chong quality about him. Big John Wallace took on much of that role after Palmer left. Also my first time seeing Harry play banjo. Then there was his whistling on "Mail Order Annie". Finally, the encore with a solo Harry on "What Made America Famous". He was as powerful on his own as he was with the band. Above all was the spellbound audience. And to think "Cats in The Cradle" hadn't yet seen the light of day nor had Harry yet unleashed "30,000 Pounds of Bananas". Absolutely remarkable.

Maybe weird to ask, but does the audio recording possibly contain both sides? I always study to Harry Chapin's live music (your upload of Danish TV has to be my favorite), but it's quite challenging to study if the music is only onesided like this concert is

Any idea as to how I can access that, or how did you get your hands on those recordings?
