You know I've heard to many people say to me when i talk about harry potter that harry is there least favourite Character, that he is overrated and i always ask them why the fact he has been through so much been abused as a child had both parents die, had both father figures he had taken away from him had Voldemort try and possess him and infiltrate his mind and after all this he still makes such selfless choices and isn't insane is truly amazing, also he never wanted attention, it's not like he asked for it and even though, yes I'm not a gryffindor , he is still and will always be my favourite character. This video is stunning and truly captures who he is.

True, he has good qualities and all, but he had a huge temper, despite not knowing a lot of things always does as he wants and jumps into action without thinking, and most of all, he is fuc*ing avarage. He won against the darkest wizard of the world just by luck and the plot armor surrounding him.

I’ve loved Harry Potter for as long as I can remember. And I know there are things you can grow out of. But not Harry Potter. When I started reading I was like 6 or 7 ish and as I grew up just rereading and rewatching I learned so much more. Harry Potter isn’t just about the boy who lived. It’s about friendship, and love, and standing up for what you believe in . And that’s something you can never really grow out of. And I’ll always love JK Rowling for making this something that exists. She really is what made my childhood. And I will always love her for it.

I agree entirely, I was 10 the first time I opened a Harry Potter book, didn't find out about them til just after PoA came out, and the whole story has shaped so much of my imagination... there are of course certain aspects of the books that I disagree with where she took things (I mean come on, in what universe would Ron and Hermione -ever- work out as a couple? Without Harry as a buffer I doubt the two of them would even be friendly between each other, and don't get me started on the Oedipus complex that is Harry and Ginny[I mean come on, at best she could easily be mistaken for his -sister- with his mum's hair colour and his father's eye colour if you didn't absolutely know she was a Weasley], never mind the fact that the one who loathes his fame as much or more than Snape loathed his father, somehow or another ends up with what may as well be female Colin Creevey and probably outranks him for the #1 fan slot.... although arguably would still take #2 behind Dobby lol), but really other than me disagreeing with the "One Big Happy Weasley Family" crap and the sidekick getting the girl, and I suppose the rather... Machiavellian machinations of our favourite headmaster, it's still the series that I probably hold closest to my heart, I just console myself by tearing the epilogue out of my copy of DH and let my imagine fill in the blanks lol
