Well, H&M Cannot say anything about the book they collaborated on, because, Scobie would lose his mind and tell the world, "Well, they gave me the information". So H&M are in that catch 22 situation where the world condemns them for their silence and the world knows they are the collaborator rats.. Scobie will lose it soon enough and spill the beans on them and H&M are just trying to hide out and be quiet. They did win a couple of "Honors" though.
