Thank you Al, for having Harry and George on your show. You don't get much better. I was born in '52 so have been through a lot of monumentous events. But never in my life did I ever think we would be subjected to this shit. It is insane and I have been upset since the night Trump was elected. Who would have thought, given his history, which apparently not many people researched, this clown would be elected. I've had to take mental health breaks from the news, even though I have to know what's going on. How could this happen here, to quote Upton Sinclair. This is one Boomer who will never be old and stupid. We had a lot of hope when I was young and look where we are. Trump has unleashed the whirlwind and it scares me more than the Cold War. Thank you for trying to bring some sanity to us, but I feel we are preaching to the choir. I fear we won't make it until the younger generation can make a real difference.
@lhoward95938 ай бұрын
I also am a boomer and I am very worried for our country's future. Let's not forget that we did have quite a few assassinations in the 60s and those were very scary times with a lot of violence. But Watergate was insignificant compared to what's going on now with the MAGA cult. Churchill said, "History is written by the victors." Let's hope the democracy coalition are the ultimate victors or America will be a place we no recognize.

@rescuelover7891 I totally agree and have felt much the same as you when I heard that idiot was actually running in 2016. Maybe the good years are the outliers. We had strong pushes to go nuclear on USSR, China and North Vietnam. McCarthy Communist witch hunts. Multiple assassination. Lynchings. The list is long and ugly even without pre-WWII genocide, slavery, Jim Crow & land grabs.
