Al, you think that if you give the Palestinians their own state, then they would have been nice to Israel? No way, They would keep their Islamic revolution going. It would be a stepping stone to getting the whole enchilada. Iran would amass an army in the West Bank and Oct 7 would happen tenfold. Is that what you feel Bibi should have done to the other half of Jews in the world? You watch too many Disney movies and believe that being nice with result in others being nice back. Not in Islamic society.

I've lived in two countries and voted in two countries, in Conservative and Liberal districts and the idea of waiting two hours to vote would have been scandalous. In Australia it's mandatory to vote. I never waited more than 15 minutes and got a hot dog at the end.

Humans are superstitious. Given. We who think that ideas are more important than inherited power need to get organized around the key performance indicators that can warn us when the psychos come out from under their rocks to destabilize something.

Dems/Justin please listen to Rachel. Go on offense. The general public needs to hear one liners...period. "Shape public opinion." Grow infrastructure eg. Civic Media in WI.

Rachel is spot on and speaking cultural truth. Dems need to listen. I'm not convinced Justin (or Ben Wikler) agrees with Rachel. In Wisconsin, Mandela Barnes who I like and voted for ran a pathetic campaign with pathetic advertising. Ron Johnson was an easy target. Johnson was not challenged/attacked at all while participating in false election claims. Dems didn't support their candidate in the 3rd CD and Derrick Van Orden barely won and he was at Jan 6. When will the Dems learn how to really fight...and stop wasting time talking about identity politics. WI Supreme Court Justice Janet P. won by a huge, huge margin. She did not mince words or attempt to please everyone. Again Dems take note!

I confess I ignored politics until 2016. This is a good tutorial on the struggle between Thomas Hobbes and John Locke, assuming Jeremy Bentham is the referee for the fight! More please.

That Trump commission, set up in 2017 was headed by Mike Pence with Chris Kobach as his deputy, found no evidence of voter fraud and was wound up in 2018.

This is why a state government should not be allowed to draw electoral maps. Electoral maps should only be drawn by an independent electoral commission.

It’s never mentioned that Abe Lincoln rededicated the nation after the Civil War as a country for all of its people with a great reverence for democracy and government of the people, by the people, and for all the people, except women. We fixed that later thanks to democratic principles. 😊 Now the white male patriarchy is trying to reassert dominance over the nation as a divine right like the kings of old. Not going to happen. Vote to stop that from happening.

Wisconsinite here - can we talk about race in WI - that's what underlies a lot of what happened in 2010. Also "Welfare reform" in WI started with Tommy Thompson - in the 1980s. Discrimination against blacks and native Americans runs deep here - we spend a lot of time in the gerrymandered conservative state legislature disinvesting in the areas where minorities live.

Republicans been stealing elections since 1968 and probably lots longer on the state level. GOP is a criminal organization. They have no shame and they have no limits. They are an impetus for human extinction. Satan’s own. Do not forgive. Do not forget. Never ever GOP again.

Unfortunately the fix is in. there is no way republican controlled states will allow any other results then Donald trump winning. we are now at the make it seem plausible part of the theft. so we get the stuff where African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Gays, Women are all finding Donald trump acceptable. that will be used to explain the vote count being in his favor. interesting how Israel is adding to the divisions of this country at this time. there is a bigger plot here. this is about world domination by a few, not about democratizing the world. there seems to be very few leaders who want to let their people decide the direction of their nations. this Supreme Court only needs to say, All Americans are equal under the law. And. No one in this country is above the law. anything other than that belittles what men and women who have defended this nation at home and abroad actually believe was worth their lives in doing so. what an insult to those that have given their lives it would be for the supreme court not to say exactly that. a president no matter what should want to obey the law. the president should only do lawful things. there is no reason or situation they should do anything else. it's not about power, it's about race. why is trump so acceptable, race. he has no business expertise. he is not a problem solver. he is not compassionate. he is not well liked. he is not respected. he is not God fearing. he is not a dedicated family man. so what is left, his comb over? it's about race.

Progressives remember what fellow Dems in the Ohio legislature did to Dennis Kucinich. One of the worst and most blatant cases of gerrymandering ever seen... Suddenly a highly popular Congressman had his District turned into spaghetti, with a large part of it now in Toledo 60 miles away from Cleveland, and facing 2 other popular incumbents. WHY did they do it? Because he was ordered by Pelosi to drop out of the presidential primaries (witnessed by several at a meeting in her office)... or else. The reason he could not be tolerated in that very close race was because his few Delegates would have been a spoiler for Obama and Ms. Clinton at the Convention ... which could then force the corporate wing to adapt some Progressive planks such as universal healthcare. So let's not pretend only Repugs do it, and reflect on Karma.

Wisconsinite here. The recent primary election contained two referendums on the ballot that were very confusing. The wording obfuscated the underlying goal of restricting the use of outside entities in the administration of elections. It will make it harder to hire non-governmental companies to count ballots, provide services to the election effort.
