Partch's music will always be timeless, unclassifiable, and fearlessly original.

It's real nice to have this on KZbin. And all the other Partch stuff. 😆

He's also an extremely funny and erudite guy; in a completely good way.

Beautiful, inspiring, and fiercely original. Nothing can compare to this. Partch wrote his own music from the ground up, completely free from any restriction. And though his originality costed him fame, it can't be denied that his efforts created some of the most complex and unique pieces of artwork ever to be made.

Fantastic, thank you for sharing this. I am wholly ignorant of Partch, going to have to dive in and get my ears around this.

Something in Harry’s eyes reminds me a bit of Bob Weir after two or three cups of coffee.

I remember way back in the day, circa 1986 or so and listening to a so called experimental jazz show on the local Champaign Il. radio staition and this song coming on and about 3:00 in the Dj fading it out and sounding truly embarassed almost apologizing for playing this and promising that we wouldn't be hearing that again lol. The only reason I remember it is because I was recording it and still have it on cassette today and have never heard it in it's entirety but I'm going to give it another try. Let's see if I can ride it out in it's entirety this time. I love obscure music and the video for this showing the group playing it is the actual recording that i heard that night. Verbatim.
