@@rodvincetolosa9386 This one isn't my favorite but I do enjoy it a lot because it's so consistently dark and doesn't really try to appease the audience in any way. It's much more of a slow burn but it's great for character development before the flashy finale and I really respect it because of that. But especially for younger fans/those that love Harry Potter but aren't big movie fanatics otherwise I can totally see why it's the least favorite.

Subtle thing, but Harry calling Umbridge "Dolores" and later calling Voldemort "Tom" really shows his growth as a character. Harry is now an adult calling adults by their first name. And that comes across more in the books than the movies: Harry really takes control in the last book and does things his way. He's a man.

Fun fact: During the kissing scene between the ilusions of Harry and Hermione, Rupert had to removed from set, because he just couldn't stop laughing everytime they started kissing, and they had to reshoot the scene several times, which both Daniel and Emma found uncomfortable, as Emma said: "It was like I was kissing my brother", since Daniel and Emma are quite close in real life, just like siblings lol

It was just Emma who felt uncomfortable. I've seen so many interviews of Dan where he says he quite enjoyed it. I've always suspected that in the other kiss the only reason why Rupert says he was also uncomfortable was because Emma said so it would've felt awkward if he had disagreed. Nevertheless Daniel Radcliffe is a much braver man because he definitely said he didn't find it awkward at all and quite enjoyed it

The movies don't tell this, but the reason Harry and the others don't say "Voldemort" was because Voldy put a tracking curse on the name. If anyone says "Voldemort", Death Eaters will immediately receive the location of the speaker. That's how those two Death Eaters appeared in the diner, and that's why they suddenly spawned when Luna's dad said it. The only time they say this in the movie is in a deleted scene.

@@HQofrandom The Voldemort name tracker was designed to catch anyone brave enough to say it (as those people were generally against him). Hence Snatchers bagging those who said it (bounty hunters as opposed to Death Eaters). As for the Weasleys, the books indirectly explain why that wouldn't work. The Weasleys had a fake Ron with a contagious disease that made no-one want to get to close to him to verify it. And Ginny still went to Hogwarts that year (I think?), Percy and Arthur at the Ministry. So while certainly suspected of rebel ties (and likely very closely watched), there was no direct proof of them currently working with Harry. I'm guessing they weren't instantly purged because the Weasleys were part of the 'Sacred 28' pure blood families, and it would take nothing less than direct proof to purge a bunch, due to the relative rarity of pure-bloods. 'Hedwig' could work, maybe, but she'd been dead for a little while before. Plus Loops is likely right with the complexities of a magic spell like that.

In the books, Wormtail died in the dungeon at Malfoy Manor. He caught Harry and Ron trying to escape and began strangling Harry, but Harry reminded him of when he saved his life by not letting Sirius and Lupin kill him in Prisoner of Azkaban. Wormtail then showed signs of remorse and when that happened, his silver hand that Voldemort gave him turned on him and began choking him as Voldemort put a curse on it, where if Wormtail ever showed signs of betrayal, the hand would betray him. Despite Harry and Ron trying to release the clutch, they couldn’t and Wormtail was strangled to death by his own hand. I suppose the movie didn't include it because it was too much of a dark scene, even by Deathly Hallows's standards.

I don't know that it was remorse, more like hesitation. Yes he felt bad about betraying his friends, but the hand betrayed him more because of his hesitation. Dumbledore reminded Harry that saving a life was a powerful thing and that Wormtail was now in his debt, which Harry said he didn't want because it was Wormtail.

Kreacher is mentioned way more often in the books; his story is quite sad actually. The entire Black family was in Slytherin and really anti muggleborns etc (just like draco’s family, more or less). Which is why he dislikes Hermione. It’s just all he knows, basically. Regulus was a death eater but eventually changed his mind after Voldemort ordered Kreacher to drink that horrible potion Dumbledore drank as well in movie 6, to be able to hide the locket there. He then left him there to die, but as he is an elf, with elf magic, he was able to disapparate out of the cave. Regulus then ordered Kreacher to take him to the cave again and Regulus drank the potion and then afterwards died because he was killed by the inferi (those dead bodies in the cave). Kreacher saw his master die and had to leave him there and could tell no one. So all these years later, after finally telling this entire story to Harry, Harry gives him the fake locket (as it used to belong to Regulus), and Kreacher became much nicer to them :).

It wasn't just that they didn't like Muggleborns, it's that they preached blood purity. They're family motto was toujours pur which means always pure in French. They more or less agreed with the things Voldemort was preaching. And I think the key point with Regulus is that he was 16 years old when he joined, very young and completely indoctrinated.

Fun fact: They don’t say this in the movie but Harry and Voldemort are both descendants of the wizards from the tale. Harry’s ancestor is obviously the one who asked for the cloak of invisibility (his only granddaughter married into the Potter family) which is why it has been handed out to sons of the Potter family ever since, and Voldemort’s is the one who asked for the resurrection stone. Of course many wizards descend from them not just those two because well family trees get messy after several generations but I always found that interesting.

@@MidnightHowling We don’t know actually, it’s never been made official, it has only been made official for Harry who descended from Ignotus and Voldemort from Cadmus (which by the way tells us the tale is just a tale because it doesn’t sound like he ever had any descendants, I mean his lover was already dead and then he killed himself). It’s harder to tell for owners of the wand because the stone and the coat were fairly secret in the sense that they were only passed within the Potter and Gaunt family, but the wand since it was such a powerful wand, it drew a lot more attention and went through many different owners that didn’t necessarily descend from the Pevrell brothers so it’s impossible to know really unless J.K Rowling decides to say it’s the case but she hasn’t yet so I doubt it.

The shard of mirror in Harry's hand is part of a two-way mirror that made an appearance in the 5th book, but never made it into the movie. So they're having to suddenly act like it was there the whole time. As for who was in it... nobody. At all. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks for not spoiling it for her. It's part of a two way mirror Sirius gave harry in the books so he could contact him a few books ago. Harry only found it after Siruis died. The one Sirius had was still at the house and mondogus stole it. And yes that's no one in the mirror ange just watch the movie now

@@Travel__Spin Honestly, the details that the movies left out and then later needed could have been covered with a simple explanation somewhere. It's not like the movies have ever been above changing how things went. That said, it's not like J.K. didn't advise them against cutting certain things from the movies. She, after all, knew what was going to happen next and was in contact with the film makers. She made sure that they kept certain details that were actually crucial to the plot included when they were offered up as things to cut out. The details that were left out, though annoying and confusing not to have them, are not actually super important to the plot. It'd just be better and easier to understand if they were included. Even given that, the movies are incredible and I don't think they should be remade. I don't think I could easily accept anyone else in the roles these actors were in. Even so, I'm sure they will remake these movies some day, so you might get your wish.

Ron in books is Street Smart, the only one of the trio who grew up in the wizard world and they didn't even let him explain the whole "mudblood" thing in Chamber of Secrets like he did in the books... Ron was not academically gifted, it's true, but he's the source of most of their knowledge of wizarding lore in the books, including Mudblood. Hermione is muggleborn and Draco was the FIRST ONE to dare use that slur at her, so she was confused. Ron was the one who reacted and tried to curse Malfoy in retaliation, while Harry and Hermione were baffled by the reaction of the other Gryffindors. and, I've said many times that he's the one I would want at my back in a real world bad situation. him and Neville because Neville 👏 comes👏 through👏

Except if you listen to commentary and the writer of the script whose also the director is all like. They would totally be together or do something right now but they just wouldn't do that to Ron, as if that's the only reason they weren't getting togther. Even took out the bit where Harry reassure ls Ron that Hermione is like his sister. Clearly the director liked Harry Hermione. I mean just look at the end of HBP with Ron shoved off to the side on that important and final scene it's ridiculous.

Voldemort was mad at Ollivander because Ollivander told him using another one would work (why he used Malfoys). But Harry won him again so Voldemort thought Ollivander lied about the wands.

True, though that was because Harry's wand absorbed some of Voldemort's magic from their duel in Goblet. The wand recognized Voldemort as an enemy and spat his own magic back at him.

It's also related to the connection between Harry and Voldemort because of the magical boundaries Voldemort crossed that further entwined the two of them. The wand recognized Voldemort as kin and foe, and because Harry's wand contained bits of himself and Voldemort after it imbibed power and qualities of Voldemort's, what chance did Lucius' stand in the face of magic like that?

the thing is -- she didn't. obliviate is a non reversible spell which erases memories; Hermione modifies her parents'. sounds trivial, but at the café she specifically means she has never used the obliviate spell, but knew the theory. it's not such a big thing for people who have only watched the movies, tbh

I would disagree with that. Harry was leaving alone just to protect them. He shows that he values them a lot. He never forces Ron or Hermione to come with him and everyone involved gets the risks. Ron insists on coming with him and by what he says, it feels like he didn't actually think before making the decision. If Harry had his way, he would have left alone and none of their families would be at risk but considering that it was Ron who insisted on this, I think it is quite selfish of him. Though he did have the locket on so I forgive him.

No, it doesn't. There are layers to Ron's departure. Part of it is certainly his worry for his family, but there's also the rising tension because of the lack of progress in their search for horcruxes and their ability to destroy them. None of them had really thought about the difficulties they'd face in their hunt, and while Ron wasn't rich by any means, he had never lived an uncomfortable life. He didn't know what it meant to be starved or live off scraps. His mood was also worsening because of his wearing the locket. It preyed on his insecurities, particularly the ones involving his feelings for Hermione and his jealousy surrounding Harry. It doesn't help that when he stormed off, Hermione chose not to go with him. And he said as soon as he left, he wanted to come back.

In the 5th film, during the Christmas holidays, Sirius told Kreacher to "go away" when he meant to "get out of the room", but Kreacher interpreted it as "get out of the house", so he took the chance to go to serve the next Black family member, Narcissa (Lucius' Wife and Bellatrix's sister). That's why Voldemort knew Harry cared deeply about Sirius and he created a fake scene to show him torturing Sirius. In the end of 5th book, Harry inherited the Black's house and Kreacher from Sirius. In the 7th books, Harry gave Kreacher the locket from RAB and Kreacher started to respect Harry as his master since RAB was Kreacher's master and Kreacher loved RAB when he was alive. 3. Splinching happens when you apperate unsuccessfully, causing some parts of your body to dislocate from you. 4. At 20:02, the old man is Gregorovitch, another famous wand maker that had the Elder Wand. 5. The grave at 23:23 was a descendant of the 3 brothers of the Deathly Hollows. 6. You can't conjure Accio (summoning charm) on some magical objects. That's why Harry had to go into the pond to get the sword. 7. If you like the short stories, check out the The Tales of Beedle the Bard (yes it's a book by JK) 8. Voldemort Can't kill Harry even using Lucius' wand because in the 4th movie he used Harry's blood to resurrect. So Lily's protection prevents him to kill Harry. Actually I think objects are charmed to prevent them from being summoned. For example the cup was summoned in goblet of fire. Also the sword could not be summoned because it just can't be given to Harry. In the books Harry realises the point of it being under the lake. It needed to be taken in a situation in which he needed to show his courage. If the sword can just be given to people, then any person could get it but only a true gryffindor and actually get the sword. I maybe wrong but I am pretty sure this is what happens in the books.

What that mirror is should have been explained at this point, in the books it was revealed back in Order of The Phoenix so I think it's safe to spoil that part - Sirius gave that mirror to Harry so they could communicate (since every other way of communication was being watched). It is a two-way mirror, it can be used to communicate with the person who has the other one. Harry broke it after Sirius died. Also, Kreacher did not go to Bellatrix, he went to Narcissa - "He went to the only Black family member for whom he had any respect left. . . . Black’s cousin Narcissa, sister of Bellatrix and wife of Lucius Malfoy."

I think that only applies to when you have the sorting hat, the sword will come to one's aid if they show extreme courage or something. The shard harry has was a gift from Sirius in the 5th book (I dont think they showed it in the movie) and throughout the book harry would look at it and occasionally see who he thinks is Dumbledore. Harry questions what he saw since the figure never stayed very long until he found out who it really was in the next movie. Dumbledore was a Gryffindor Malfoys wand doesn't break as far as I know but it does have trouble working when Voldy uses it against Harry. I think it gets explained better in the next movie but if it doesn't I might add a comment next hp reaction explaining it. Dumbledore had such amazing forethought that he gave them all gifts in his will to help them in the hor-cruxe destroying journey. Specifically he gave Ron an item that would lead him back to Harry and Hermione when he inevitably left them. The locket has part of Voldy's soul in it so it tries to split up Harry from his friends so he is more vulnerable. Specifically reading their minds to find what their insecure about. Personally I have no clue why they HAD to wear it even after they found out what it was trying to do. If they just kept it in their bag Ron would've never gotten mad enough to leave them. Fun fact: Harry is a descendant of the third brother in the Deathly Hallows story. It is that brother's name that Harry and Hermione uncover in the graveyard where Harry's parents are buried. Also that is why Harry has the invisibility cloak, it was passed down from parent the child until it got to Harry. (Technically Dumbledore gave it to Harry since he had asked James for it so he could study it. When James died he held onto it until Harry was only enough to get it.) I may edit this as I remember more answers to your questions.

The thing about Lucius' wand being beaten by Harry's wand is only explained in the book. The main thing is, i dont wanna give spoiler so wont say who or when it's said, when harry fought Voldemort in GoF and their wands connected, his wand absorbed Voldemort's deadly skill/power as well and marked Voldemort as an enemy so it recognised Voldemort when he used Lucius' wand and fought back against him on it's own without Harry because Voldemort was auto locked on enemy mode, and the magical power it had absorbed from that night in GoF was too much for Lucius' wand to handle.

Extension to your fun fact: Voldemort is a descendant of the second brother (Cadmus Peverell), which makes Voldemort and Harry distant relatives as Harry is a descendant of the third brother (Ignotus Peverell) as you mentioned. This is why Marvolo Gaunt's Ring had the resurrection stone in it, because it was passed down through family (and then Voldemort of course stole it from his uncle Morfin Gaunt) as well similar to how the invisibility cloak was passed down through the Potter family after Iolanthe Peverell (Ignotus' Granddaughter) married Hardwin Potter.

I can't remember if the perfume line is in the books, but I like it in the movies. I took it as wearing perfume might have just been a "luxury" in Hermione's routine she was keeping up with and in that moment she looked both grossed out and disappointed that it's what allowed that guy in the woods to almost find her. That patronus is slightly different from Harry's. Harry's patronus is a stag, which has antlers. The one he followed in this movie doesn't have antlers, it's a doe. It's not that important, don't worry about it. Also yes, please read the books! They're amazing and you'll see a lot more hints that Rowling drops along the way. You'll also get more sassy Harry moments, and some more in depth backstories. You'll learn a lot more about the characters.

The reason the Ministry was so against Harry using Magic before, is that underage wizards are not allowed to use Magic outside the school, but as of this movie, Harry is 17 which is the age Wizards become legal adults, and so, is allowed to use magic.

Ok so the mirror where Harry saw that eye was given to him by Sirius, and it's a 2 way mirror so he could talk to him whenever he wanted. When Sirius died, Harry tried to use it but it obviously didn't work bc Sirius didn't have the mirror with him when he died. However I won't spoil it for the last film, but in the books, at the start of deathly hallows in the mirror Harry thinks he saw dumbledores eye, however he always says he can never be sure.

It was surreal to see the final book adapted for the big screen. I remember the horror I felt when I learned my favorite character, Mad-Eye, had fallen in battle. Hedwig dying was also horrible. If anybody wanted to start the franchise here, then that’s on them. It’s part one of the finale so idk why they expected to understand this movie. 😂 I like the cold winter tone for the most part. It helps divide us from how Hogwarts is usually at the least cooler if not warmer and more lively. The opening prologue was great, the score really conveyed that this was the beginning of the end and childhood was completely and utterly over.

For what it's worth, the word you were looking for was "episodic". A plot that doesn't just progress from point A to point B, but instead follows spontaneous twists and turns as things kinda happen. The core wands are explained in the first book Hermione had to erase the memories of her from her parents for a bunch of reasons but mainly because she loved them and if she didnt come back they would not understand. Before Syrius was killed he gave a mirror shard to Harry so they could talk (Sirius had another shard for himself) but after Sirius died Harry could see his reflection in the shard. Also Sirius used this method to communicate with Harrys dad in their school years. First encounter with Voldemort in this movie was cut short because Harry flew into a magic barrier and dark lord couldnt follow him inside. That what saved Harry this time. Tonx, the woman Ron saved has the ability to change her appearance at will. This ability is known to be in some rare bloodlines in the wizarding word. Voldi attacked Olivander because Voldemort used Malfoys wand and it did the connection thing again. Which is not what Olivander has predicted. He expected that using other wand would stop the connection but it seems like (ill explain in the part 2) their connection is too strong to break like that. Stiches or smth (the winged ball thingy) can open on touch for Quddittch players to better understamd who caught it first. The horcrux affected Umbride while she was wearing it. Kinda obvious but still important to point out. Ron got splinched. Its when somebody rips his body while trying to teleport. It happens because the person is either not good at teleporting or in this instance somebody grabs you when you try to teleport away. That does not work if you teleport with the other person peacefully (like Dumbledore and Harry did in the Half Blood Prince). The reason this guy could smell Hermione perfume is because he is a werewolf. Also an important at that. He appears in previous books and is known for playing with his victims in a gory and brutal ways. I think his name was Fenrir Greyback. Ron meets some guys and a house elf. It turns out its Voldemorts gang and he manages to escape them. Also he steals a new wand for himself. Its explained more throughourly in the books like a mini story inside the chapters. Yes, they were talking in snake. You can actually see that Lunas father has a necklase resembling the three things Death gave to the brothers. There are actually a lot of fake invisibility cloaks in the wizarding world. They break easily, dont cover you at all or just malfunction i peculliar ways. Harry spent a long time digging Dobbys grave with a shovel. If I remember right everybody was at Lupin place while him and Luna attended the funeral of the house elf. While we are at it after Dobby died Harry was staying at Lupin and Tonx place and learned that they will be having a child. They decided that the kids godfather would be Harry and he agreed.

One question, wizzards can teleport at any time they want? Or there are rules? , I think they never explain that in the movies, cause if they can teleport at any time harry ron and hermione could have teleport right away instead of running through the forest and being captured, in the scene with the scabiors

the guy who smelt Hermione's perfume was Scabior, not Fenrir Greyback. The smelling her perfume thing doesn't happen in the book, only a film thing for which it was Scabior who smells Hermione's perfume.

In the books, when voldemort goes to see Grindelwald at Normengard to ask about the wand in the books he doesn't tell him, he actually mocks voldemort telling that he will lose, that there is alot that he doesn't understand and that the wand will never be his, voldemort tries to read his mind but it doesn't work so voldemort just kills him and assume that the wand is with dumbledore since the duel that they had is public knowledge ( this for me really changed how i saw grindelwald's character )

3:10 ye she did it to protect them from the death eaters - in the books she erases their memories of her, what their actual names are (she gives them new names), and she sends them to australia also i think the movies only show the pictures disappearing so we know what shes doing lol 5:55 well for some context, its a shard from a lil mirror sirius gave harry in the fifth book, where all he would have to do is say sirius' name and they'd be able to talk to eachother (there was this kinda sad part in the book where he tries it after sirius' death and it obviously doesnt work) and throughout this book he keeps seeing some other persons eye and thinking its dumbledore bc he looks similar to him... they didnt put it in the movie bc i guess they didnt know it would be important to the plot in deathly hallows 6:58 i dont remember if any of that stuff even happens in the book but either way, the ministry got taken over by the death eaters so 19:05 its when apparition goes wrong and someone leaves a part of themselves behind dobby's death feels so much sadder in the books since he appears a lot more than in the movies.. like obviously he's in the second book, but he's also in the fourth one - he gives harry the gillyweed instead of neville, he's in the fifth one and warns dumbledores army that umbridge knows where they are and what theyre doing, and in the sixth book he spies on malfoy for harry

Although they actually mentioned this all the way back in the first movie you just weren't paying attention. It was one of the wand maker Ollivander gave Harry his wand. Which is really cool that they foreshadowed this all the way back then!
