I have been listening to all the CDs since they came out to do the very same thing. It takes me to Hogwarts and I sleep like a log. This is a new reader and is different in interesting ways so a new experience. This reader is good but Jim is better.

I absolutely love this narrator! His pacing, enunciation and the different voices are just perfect. I started listening to an audiobook of the Chamber of Secrets from another narrator and I couldn't stand listening to it because the narrator speaks too fast, has to repeat several words and does not breathe between paragraphs. Stephen Fry has set the bar high.

That's true, but I'll never get over the fact that Dumbledore and McGonagal just left a baby outdoors for the night - not very responsible. But then, the adults in the Rowling's wizarding world are not very responsible as a rule.

@@pmj6616 Exactly. Harry would have died that night, if not for Firenze. Then there was Fluffy, who could have easily killed someone. And let's not forget that anyone could have become a "professor" and teach there without any qualifications. Hogwarts isn't a place I would be willing to send children to, if it existed. Too much disregard for their safety and not very hygienic either - all those owls dropping parcels, and who knows what else, on the tables during breakfast and landing in the food. It's disgusting. Still, it's a good story and I read the books on a regular basis, but I like them less now I'm an adult.
