There honestly was no need for the scene. Harry's motives toward killing Black were already set up in Hogsmede, and we didn't need two minutes to learn Scabbers was gone.

It's me again, same deal I remember more scenes then what the dvd showed me, this a little fresher in my memory as I was about 20 years old at the time, yes it's about 3 to 5 minutes they cut out without having the Ultimate DVD or Blu Ray box with 48 pg booklet and other extras like the first 2, I havent gotten it yet as it won't come out until like OCTOBER 18th I think, but as I knew for years, they've been selling us edited versions as the theatrical, they arent really what I saw in theatres!

We deserve the extended cuts they used to show on ABC Family (now called Freeform). The first two movies are available that way, but unfortunately the rest aren’t. This would be an easy money-making opportunity for WB and I’m surprised they haven’t taken it yet.

I really, really, REALLY want to own a DVD copy of the Extended Versions for Harry Potter: Years 3-7, so I can add them to my Ultimate Edition DVD Box sets. There is nothing anyone can say to convince me that they can't pull it off later down the road. Just look at the Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse Extended DVD that came out unexpectedly a few years back! My singlemost prayer is that one of the remaining 4 Fantastic Beasts movies will provide a good enough excuse for WB to release the rest of the Harry Potter Extended Versions on DVD - I'd be *10 times* more excited about that than seeing the next Fantastic Beasts...

in the book, they showed 2 chapters talking about quittach and about griffindor winning the quittach cup. those were my favorite parts in the book but it hadn't showed up in the movie. even dementors showed up and harry used the patronus spell while on the broom. it would have been a good thing to see in the movie.

Because when Ron says the thing about crookshanks, its badly placed because they are supposed to be afraid of the break in, not worried about the rat. Also when Harry is going crazy saying "i coulda killeld him" ....to me thats just not harry. idk

okay other than the first one and the bird scene, why would they leave ANY of these out!?!?! The one with ron and hermione, that happened. It was a friendship scene. The one where Sirius Black got into the common room, that was important because that's another one of the reasons of what made Snape and all the other headmasters think he wasn't innocent. And the considering that no one seemed frightened, no one cared that Sirius almost killed Ron (or at least they thought he did) including Ron, I think this scene wasn't done properly.
