I thought this was a super cool inclusion in the game but I wish they'd have taken it further. Make it mechanically more challenging so that you really get the feeling of urgency and that the stakes are high. The whole point of the danger of the time turner is that you have to be exactly at the right place at the right time! Then again, a level like that would've maybe been too different from the rest of the game to really make sense. Nonetheless, it would've been cool if Harry and Hermione would've had to avoid their past selves, imagine the part where you sneak out of the Slytherin Common Room in HP2 after the Polyjuice Potion wears off. That was a super short portion of the game but it was very memorable because you had a sense of urgency and desperation to get the eff out of there!

Cool idea but the problem is that hermione had to hand in the time-turner because she abused it and all the others were destroyed in book five so it doesn't quite work

Sure... but I don't get how that is a "problem"? :D What I suggested in my original comment is that this level in the game could have been more interesting/challenging if the time-turner had been made into an actual mechanic (like the cloak levels in HP1). That could've made this section a really creative and memorable level! Sorry if that didn't come across properly. What you brought up are plot-points that happen after the timeline of the game so I doubt game designers would've actually considered them as they were clearly keeping this game very close to the movie unlike the previous two games that took inspiration from the books as well. Also, not to be nit-picky, but I don't think Hermione "abused" her time-turner? (excluding the legality of her and Harry using it to save Buckbeak and Sirius which no-one knew about save for Dumbledore) She states at the end of book 3 that she gave it back because she didn't need it anymore since she wasn't taking as many classes again. Maybe that was between the lines but I find that word to be too harsh. Sorry for being overly analytical, lol. Have a great day!
