fry is definitely the winner here, but he's lousy when it comes to narrating songs in the series xD

I’m astounded at how many people say Stephen Fry’s version is ‘far superior!” It’s laughable. Jim Dale is the epitome of Masterclass Narration! Fry always sounds like he has a cold! His actual voice would be a good character voice but since it’s his normal talking voice it gets very annoying very quickly. There is no debate here. Sure, people can say whichever one makes them feel more warm and cozy inside, but in terms of actual talent and skill of narration….there is no debate. Jim Dale gives an amazing performance and makes you actually feel the books come alive while as S Fry just sounds like he’s reading a book to himself. It’s quite boring and unlistenable.
