Hey. Here is my understanding so far of how the time turner works (as succinctly as possible): 1. Don't trust the Cursed Child. 2. By using the time turner you create a paradox which means you cannot change anything it didn't already happen (because you already changed it in the 'future'). I know it is so complicated but this is the only explanation that makes sense to me. Hope that helps a bit!

I am currently rereading the series and I am on book 3. This is actually besides the sorcerer stone, the first time I am rereading the series since the first time. What I remember, here is my ranking. 7. Chambers of secrets 6. Goblet of fire 5. Sorcerer's stone 4. Order of the Phoenix 3. Half blood Prince 2. Deathly Hallows 1. Prisoner of Azkaban I am going to do a video once I am done, and see if my ranking changes. Right now there staying the same. But like I said I am only on book 3. If my plans turn out like I want them to. I will read books 4 and 5 in December. And January finish my reread. So in February, I can do my video.

My order of favourites would have to be: 1. Half-Blood Prince (love how dark it is and the fact that the focus is on Voldemort's past); 2. Deathly Hallows (again love how dark it is; and the fact that it just finishes off the series brilliantly by tying everything together); 3. Prisoner of Azkaban (Sirius Black is just the best character and it's just got all the feels as Harry finally has someone in his life who he can call "family"; absolutely love the story of the Mauraders too); 4. Goblet of Fire (the first time the story gets more complex and we see the darker elements - very well written too); 5. Order of the Phoenix (I enjoyed the storyline as it was very twisted what with the corrupt Ministry and Umbridge, but I agree, it is very slow); 6. Chamber of Secrets; and finally 7. Philosopher's Stone. :) :)

Order of the Phoenix had more depth, and a intense tone which made the book very immersive and emotional. The average reader is going to hate it or love it since it relies on the readers capturing the authors intended emotion and ambience over quality story content. Since the book prevented my brain from getting distracted with other thoughts while going to sleep relative to the 6 other books in which most of them clearly had better stories makes me think people put too much emphasis on the storyline while determining the quality of a book :P

I know I'm in the minority here, but my favorite has always been Chamber of Secrets. I was eleven, like Harry, when I read Philosopher's Stone. I absolutely adored it. Then came CoS and felt, to me, like an even better version of the first one. So, without further ado: 1. Chamber of Secrets 2. Prisoner of Azkaban 3. Half-Blood Prince 4. Philosopher's Stone 5. Goblet of Fire 6. Deathly Hallows 7. Order of the Phoenix "Funnily enough, the film is actually one of my least favorite films." The films are completely void of the depth and details of Jo's books. Void of almost everything that made people fall in love with the HP and his world. In short, they're irrelevant.

7.Chamber of Secrets 6.Sorcerer’s Stone 5.Deathly Hallows 4.Prisoner of Azkaban 3.Goblet of Fire 2.Order of the Phoenix 1.The Half Blood Prince I definitely preferred when the series grew up, if that isn’t obvious. I think Order of the Phoenix holds a special place in my heart because I used to always skip it on rereads…but after dealing with ptsd, I understood why he was so angry all the time and it became the most grounded one. The part with him yelling at Dumbledore is one of the hardest scenes to read. Half Blood Prince is all set up and exposition…but it’s told so well. The backstory to Voldemort grounds him so well into reality that it makes him that much more real if a threat Goblet of Fire is where the series pivots from school adventures to Voldemort’s story and it shifts so well. Voldemort is always on the back of the mind from the beginning, but the fact that he comes back so early is shocking, but at the same time, I let myself push it aside to read more about the tournament. It loses points for S.P.E.W. J.K. Rowling casually added wizard racism and made the slaves happy to be slaves. I skip over any and all house elf scenes for how hard she dropped the ball. Deathly Hallows is really good, but it falls shorter each time I read it. The first time, Prince’s Tale shocked me and made me reevaluate Snape. The second time, I loved it, the 15th, I thought about it. He was still a bad person doing the right thing for the wrong reasons. The author says he was always good, but I like how morally gray it is. I don’t think he’s fully redeemed at the end, but it’s written in such a way that we can interpret it however we want…until 19 years later. The epilogue gave us Cursed Child and it will always make me resent this book. Chamber of Secrets and Philosopher’s Stone are short and fun, but Philosopher’s Stone is more fun. Prisoner of Azkaban is just great. The foreshadowing, the mystery, Lupin, Harry’s development with the dementor’s. I won’t say they feel grown up, but I definitely felt the series finally finding its footing and deciding where it wants to go. That makes it the first step into the greatness they would follow

Goblet of fire is #1 to me, it was my first book and i read it when i was 7. I actually think The Halfblood prince was better, i loved learning more about Voldemorts past and i loved Dumbledores lessons, but the first impressions i got reading TGOF and discovering about HP existence gave a truely magical feeling. With the Corona misery going on, my university being closed and social and sport life on pause, i'll definitely read all the books again in the coming month(s)

The first three kinda make up one trilogy (the child wonder, the light-hearted fun of the world is all present) whilst the last three make up another trilogy (the more adult orientated content, the darker tone of the world becoming more apparent). Goblet of Fire kinda acts as a bridge between the two. Its a perfectly balanced series.

For me it's that it feels really different from the other books, cause they're not in hogwarts anymore, I don't enjoy them camping, being in the ministry, using the polyjuice potion for everything, not doing much, them finding Voldemort so many times, it takes out like the excitement of seeing him in the end, etc, idk in my opinion it just doesn't feel part of the series

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is my favorite! I see major chapter growth and maturing in the story. Also, one of my favorite scenes in any story ever is the Felix Felicis scene! And, the quidditch was also great in that book. Ever since I’ve read The Half Blood Prince it’s been my favorite book and I’m not sure if anything could ever top it.

Harry potter is ultimate. I actually grew up with Harry Potter. So happy to see this video. My ranking of Harry Potter goes like this 7. Chamber of Secrets (Completely agree with your opinion on this book.) 6. Half blood Prince (This was a setting up for the final book..and lots and lots of information. All horcruxes and tales. Just awesome. But there were some parts which I felt was a bit slow. So I ranked it 6th) 5. Order of the phoenix (This also has a lot of information. A lot of things going on. And a complete new and horrifying experience in Hogwarts for Harry. Oh. I just can't stop typing. St. mungos hospital.. Ministry... A lot of new places to explore in this one) 4. Philosopher's stone (I know that this book is too simple and too short and the main plot is not much relevant for the remaining books. But I ranked it 4th because of the sentimental feeling. This is the book which introduced us to the amazing magical world of Harry potter. Like a gateway to Hogwarts. This book is so close to my heart. When I read this one for the first time I never could've imagined what I was getting into..or how much J.K Rowling was going to influence me. Harry Potter became a part of my childhood and teens. I wish I could read the whole series again for the first time ) 3. Deathly Hallows: Just a masterpiece! What a fantastic wrap up of a series.!! Such a perfect ending. Every pieces fell into the correct place. Everything made sense. And "THE PRINCE'S TALE" chapter. Omg. I was crying my eyes out. That feeling. Still gets me goosebumps. One of the best chapters ever written. I absolutely adore this book. And I love every bit of it. Its 3rd on my list not because it has any flaws. It's just because I love the other 2 books more. ) 2. Prisoner of Azkaban (This book. Omg. What can I say. Completely blew me off. I think this is the book which I've read the most number of times in my entire life. I've read it around 30 times. May be more. Really. ! This s such an amazing book. Plot was awesome. And the final chapters. All those things which happen inside the shreiking shack. Brilliantly written! So much suspense..twists ..just fantastic!. Even though its short , it's my absolute favourite) 1. The Goblet of Fire (My most favourite book in this entire world. I have no words to express my love for this one. If I start saying what I love about this book, I can go on and on for years. The Triwizard Tournament and Voldemorts return.. the ultimate book! Love this one to core❤) Thank you so much for uploading this video. Really really loved it. You just made me memorize my love for Harry Potter. After all these years.. potterhead forever ❤ I know I ranked chamber of secrets last. But that's doesn't mean I don't like it. Compared to all other books in the world (apart from the other 6 Harry potter books), chamber of secrets is still my most favourite one. Lol ❤ No one can ever hate a Harry potter book. And no other book will ever top Harry Potter for me.

I just bought a Harry Potter book today! It’s the first one which is Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. I LOVE the book! It’s the best book I’ve read by FAR even though I’ve only read like two chapters! So I am SHOCKED that it’s second to last! If THATS second to last, I can’t wait to see the others!

I have just recently been rereading Harry Potter and the Prisoner or Azkaban, and it used to be my 5th favorite so it was more at the bottom of my list, but now since I’ve been rereading it’s turned into one of my favorites! I wouldn’t say it is my favorite (nothing can top Half Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows in my opinion) but i would say it is tied with Order of the Phoenix for third!

Great video! My list tends to change too, but like you, I absolutey adore all of these books, so my least favorite is still something I absolutely adore. I'm currently re-reading the series and am on Goblet of Fire, so this could change, but as of now: 1. Prisoner of Azkaban (also my favorite of the films) 2. Half-Blood Prince (I'll have to see for sure when I re-read, but I love Harry's maturity in the book, plus all the Voldemort backstory and the tragic ending) 3. Deathly Hallows (epic finale with tons of payoff, highest emotional stakes of the entire series) 4. Goblet of Fire 5. Order of the Phoenix (used to be my favorite as a kid) 6. Philosopher's Stone 7. Chamber of Secrets (ironically used to be my favorite of the first 4 as a kid. Probably the most nostalgic Potter for me, and I love it, but its spot here is pretty much set)
