On this tour I got to meet Cherry Wallis FINALLY and together we opened the doors to the great hall where I bawled crying as I'm a huge Harry Potter fangirl...we saw the Hogwarts Express, the props, costumes, sets, gift shop, everything, AND the actual actress who played Aunt Petunia just randomly showed up for the official opening of Privet Drive I was so surprised!

Just so you know: Sirius' parents didn't burn him off of the tapestry 'cause he went to azkaban, they burned him off because he ran away from home (to live with James). He ran away because he didn't stand for what his family stood for.

Omg, this brings back so many memories. Me and my family went October last year on my birthday and I opened the door too! And we had the same guide at the beginning as you did! The funniest thing for us though was how much like our own house No.4 Privet Drive looks (other than all the letters of course)! The atmosphere at the end with the model of Hogwarts made me cry. As a massive Potter nerd, that was honestly the BEST experience of my life.
