So when it comes to Ron getting that howler, it's better explained in the book but basically once you receive it you have very and I mean very little time to open it he would not have had enough time to get to the dormitory, and if you ignore it it's like 10 times worse

Yeah the more you try to hide with it the louder it gets because the point of the howler is to embarrass the child in front of their friends/peers. It makes the scolding more impactful.

Each movie as in also each book takes place over one year semesters time, so that really covers all the holidays but the movies really feel more like a Christmas movie than anything

There are errors everywhere) What matters is what defines a person as a person, not the whole set of his qualities. Sacrificing yourself for a cause is bravery, so Dumbledore belongs in Gryffindor.

I'm not gonna lie....when I first saw the basilisk in this movie, I had the same reaction Ron had with Aragog. (side note: I am NOT fearful of snakes or spiders). Also, every time I hear Hermione say "She's a little sensitive" to describe Moaning Myrtle, I always have the same first thought: A LITTLE sensitive?" Side note: Hedwig is a snowy owl. They have white feathers with black spots that act as camouflage when they're hunting, their wing feathers are ruffled to muffle their wing flaps so prey animals don't hear them coming and they're the only birds in the world whose feet aren't bare, due to their habitat being snowy areas, like the Arctic Tundra.

Well the movies usually are during the entire school year (often starting a couple weeks early) so technically a part of the movie is always during Christmas, but like not the entire movie.

So in the book when Harry Travels by floo powder the reason why he makes the mistake on saying Diagon Alley is because, you have to throw the floo powder down and then say where you want to go so the ash got into his mouth he started to cough while he said it and that's what happened in the book

Goodness of hearts indeed. The Dursleys gave Harry the bedroom because the wizards knew he lives in the cupboard and specified it in the letter. I think the word muggle is neutral, though mudblood is highly offensive.

The actor said in an interview that he didn't know any spells so he asked a Grip or Camera Operator. The guy had only heard Avada Kadavra, so that is the one he said. He didn't even know it was "the killing curse".

It seems to me that in a difficult situation she will be ready to sacrifice both ego and pride in order to protect the weak. yes, there were also such examples among the Slytherins (we won’t spoil it😉). But it still seems that such actions are more characteristic of Gryffindors or Hufflepuffs. In any case, we all have a little bit of all four houses mixed in☺

There is a reason behind Ron's fear of spiders. When he was little their mother took the Twins toy teddy bear and gave it to him. The twins DID NOT LIKE THIS, it was THEIR toy and they turned it into a spider. Imagine being a child or younger and playing with a teddy and suddenly it becomes a bl#%@y big spider!!!

the cast on this harry potter movies nears perfection, on my opinion. every actor and actresses are so well chose to their roles, in my opinion. i love Hagrid. Dobby is such a good character in my opinion. the soundtrack on these harry potter movie are amazing, in my opinion. my favorite part of this movie is when the Phoenix tears cure Harry. what a moment. my second favorite part is when they start clapping to hagrid in the end. what a phenomenal reaction video, Suzy and Steejo. i can not wait to see your reactions to the third movie. the third movie was the first that i watched on the Theaters, with my mom and my best friend. the first and the second one i watched on TV. the third one used to be my favorite one. but today, rethinking, definitely the first and the second one are my favorite harry potter movies.

Yes they had Harry sleeping in the closet under the stairs even though they had 4 bedrooms. One for Vernon & Petunia, 2 for Dudley and his extra crap and a guest room. In the book Harry gave tge free Lockhart books to Ginny and bought his own set. It was a way to help out the Weasleys who had to buy 4 sets of pretty expensive books as well as all of Ginny's school things like a wand (also fairly expensive). All he had to do was say he'd prefer to buy his own because he didn't want the free ones and the proud Weasleys didn't argue too much. Turning the animals into water goblets is just practice for transfiguration. The animals are changed back after class. Dobby physically can't explain in more detail. It's part of the house elves enslavement that they have to keep the secrets of the family they serve. Dobby really was trying to save Harry from Malfoy's plan he just had an..odd...way of doing so.

the question early on about making a cake using magic, in the world of harry potter there is a Natural Law to magic, known as "Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration", which is aset of 5 rules, the most notable (and i believe the only one known) is about food, in that food cannot just be made, with the exception of things with little or no sustainanc value (like water, sauces and wine) which is a bit weird, but other than that food can only be summoned from somewhere else (you sea this with the great feast in the great hall, its summoned from the kitchen below the hall, and is made by the schools house elves), however food can be multiplied, and Enlarged.

The point of a howler is to embarrass the kid in front of others to make the scolding more effective. Trying to take it somewhere private just results in it getting exponentially louder to ensure others overhearing.

A couple fun facts (someone might have pointed them out, but I don't see another comment saying those): Dracos line "I didn't know you could read" was improvised cause the actor forgot the actual line. Harry saying to Lucious "don't worry I will be" (always here to save the day) is also improvised by Daniel I think the same reason he forgot his original. And Lucious kicking Dobby down the stairs was improvised by the actor and the others were confused what he was doing (as in this movie Dobby is just animated, while in the later movies it's mo-cap) and thought that he like slipped or something and he told them that no, he just kicked Dobby.

Technically the "Avada Kadavra" is improvised. The script says "and Luscious tries to curse Harry...." Jason Isaacs didn't know any curses, so he asked a crew guy. The crew guy had heard "Avada Kadavra", so that is what he said when the time came. He didn't even know it was the killing curse.

The Harry Potter game that you're referring to is called Hogwarts Legacy and it takes place well before Harry Potter and even Dumbledore, also there is no quidditch you can fly brooms but there's no quitters there's a quidditch pitch but no quidditch unfortunately

Since you're putting out one episode a day leading up to Christmas I'm assuming you've probably seen them already I'm not going to say anything just in case, but for them to destroy the book he needed the Venom in the tooth. It wouldn't be a vaccine that he needed it would have been Anti-Venom if you was a muggle. Although the only known cure for that particular Venom is it tears from a phoenix

Fun fact: Rupert Grint(Ron) is deathly afraid of spiders in real life so animatronic and cgi spiders had to be used in place of real ones. Dumbledore knew they were there because A) he's not stupid, he knows Harry and his friends are probably going to try to figure things out for themselves. And B) He was using a spell(I forget what it's called) that allowed him to see through the cloak.
