Yes, I understand your problem so well.. Usually most of listed apartments are just sine occupancy and it makes it difficult to choose. I would recommend that you join whatsapp group of accomodations... you can get that from people who are studying at your universities or in general anyone who is living here since so long from your community.. Over there, landlords directly provides ad of couple room or single occupancy rooms.. These are cheap and good.

Hey! My academic funds were provided by my parents but after reaching London. I have managed to get part time jobs/internships to make survive financially while studying full time. Hey girl look out for scholarships that UK government provides rather than specific university. One of the student in my class was under www.chevening.org/ scholarship so probably if you could explore something like this. Hope this helps
