Thank you for sharing! I have wanted to do this unit study for SO long as I’m a big Harry Potter fan! Waiting till my kids are older though. They will be 5 and 7 at Christmas next year so I think we will do the same thing! One each December. We have the mindfulness study from forest rain & wander and have absolutely loved it! She has so many beautiful unit studies. I’m thinking of doing the Charlie and the chocolate factory one in a couple of months!

This was my first time doing one of her unit studies and now I want to do all of them! We had so much fun with this one and learned a lot at the same time! 🥰 I am glad I waited until mine were 5 & 7 and I feel like spacing them out 1 per year will allow them to mature in time to deal with the more mature themes that are introduced as Harry grows up too. 🥰

Ooooooo loved this!! We read Harry Potter and the philosopher stone this December! My plan was to do one per year but my 8 year old wouldn’t stop asking questions so we went ahead and read chamber of secrets lol. I want to do this unit study next year though! So fun!

😂 full disclosure my 7 year old started reading book 2 on her own this week because she has access to it via Amazon Kids on her Kindle Paperwhite (it was her gift for Christmas). I told her to not go farther than that 😅😅 because I want to try and stick to doing one per year at Christmas time lol. I have a feeling she will end up reading ahead but we will still do the literature Unit Study as a family at Christmas time every year 🥰

Commenting half way thru..😆 Mary, those book recs!!🥰 They are promptly in my Amazon cart. Another game you might want to look at is Cauldron Quest. It is a family fav. It taught my kids odds and even numbers, quick addition to 12, and is pretty dynamic but also really really fun and is a cooperative game!
