My dad played drums on occasion at musician Union doos when Harry Stoneham's usual drummer wasn't available. I still have his drum kit!

I used to go to hear Harry regularly at the Plough in Stockwell and bought this LP from him, duly signed by himself and Johnny, then went and left it on a train! Ah, the nostalgia of lost youth, lost records and lost pubs! Great music though. Thanks for the chance to hear it again.

Many thanks Adrian . What a great player Harry Stoneham is . I had the pleasure of performing a warm up for him in the mid 90s at an organ Society gig. My Father on a Hammond x5 with Leslie 760 and myself on drums. We met him and his wife and what lovely people . He is a true gent :)

Was a massive fan of Stoneham years ago when I was a young lad learning jazz, I’ve played loads of Lowreys and none of them had the growl and bite that Stoneham managed to achieve, great sound.

The title track is an absolute killer - organ and drums just perfect. And when he lights the touchpaper at 1:11...........

Thanks for these uploads Adrian! Great listening to a great player on a great organ. Especially nice to hear after the loss of another great Lowrey player, Alan Haven, last month.
