It's part of... Howard's Stern character. I think Harry knew sufficiently well how the interview was gonna go before it even started. He's not too fazed by it.
@katinkaaa29512 жыл бұрын
@@brubarurno Right? We gen z are so sensitive. The comment about having a female therapist he could have moved on from when Harry literally said I'm going to stop you, but yes, this is literally Howard Sterns persona, he's supposed to be this douchbag wanna be a rockstar and people find him entertaining. He wasn't serious at any moment and I feel like that's very clear but maybe it isn't if you're not familiar at all with him. They don't come on air or listen to have a serious politically correct discussion.
@brubarurno2 жыл бұрын
@@katinkaaa2951 Yeah, there's definitely a conflict in audiences here. I thought the interview was kind of entertaining. Howard's persona IS being insensitive and kind of a brute, it's a conscious choice. Harry's audience is kind of droned with the whole TPWK/Highly-pc thing and maybe we just don't remember that Harry is just some dude who's capable of laughing and poking fun at himself and his tropes. I don't know about you guys, but I feel like these reactions are really blown out of proportion, and edits like this one (though funny) are kind of exaggerated takes.
@katinkaaa29512 жыл бұрын
@@brubarurno Yeah, people literally tried to cancel Howard and acted like he was some major villain who destroyed Harry when this came out haha. I highly doubt Harry takes himself so seriously that he couldn't find any part of the experience fun, and the misogynistic jokes are completely ok as long as it's not actually, well not jokes. The stuff he said about his parent's divorce and possible daddy issues was pretty hilarious if you understand that he's literally joking. The fact that he knew that about Harry implies he did research on him or knew him personally beforehand, so he probably also knew that his parent's divorce wasn't awful and that he has a great relationship with his parents, so making jokes about it is ok. Howard probably very much knows Harry is a feminist as well as a member of the LGBTQ and is known to be very innocent as opposed to the traditional rockstar which is why he decided to act exactly this way...

This was an interesting watch. It's clear that Howard uses a very... certain "style" of asking questions. It can be an effective method to get people worked up, or throw them off. It can make people say things they don't really want to share and he's obviously trying very hard to get "interesting" content. Getting a rise out of Harry Styles would absolutely be an achievement. You can tell that the questions absolutely affect Harry, but rather than "fighting back", he closes off. Not sure if it was really necessary to escalate to such derogatory language, but well... It's clear that this is the general interviewing style of this guy and he sure will get different responses from various people. Personally, I don't like it, but he's just playing his part. I like how Harry was quiet and polite in his responses.

Not always handsome people sexualize others or like to be sexualized. I have heard some people saying about this interview like Howard's got that old sense of humor which those days people really didn't find it rude and were very sensitive to not like it and not find the sarcasm in it. I mean people should learn to differentiate humor and abuse at first. No matter what generation. It was a public interview and people were watching it and making such derogatory comments about someone is really not a joke. Joke is all about making people laugh not making them uncomfortable 🤷🏻♀️
