Harry and Stevie are good friends. Stevie said Harry is the son she never but wish she had

Ryan and Nathan I just saw 75 year old Stevie Nicks, solo, at a sold out Buffalo, NY arena that seats 20,000+ with my 22 year old son (as a music fan he was blown away by how great she sounded) She was amazing and the crowd was very eclectic - a lot of GenX like me and older but a ton of younger people who have discovered her and Fleetwood Mac through their parents! Truly a great vibe and great to see! The tour was so successful she just added some European dates!

I was there that night in LA and as soon as he said “this young lady” we just knew it was her. It was amazing. Also Fleetwood Mac has been having a big resurgence with the kids for probably the last decade. They would certainly fill an arena.

Great discussion! A passing of the torch was a good metaphor to use, that's what this felt like - similar to Ronnie Wood playing with 1D in a previous performance. I bet in that future with 70-year-old Harry there's a Nina or two in the audience wondering who the old guy is. 😁

Stevie Nicks is an icon and still has a beautiful voice. You can tell he has so much respect for her.

Someone on their patreon should ask them to react to Harry’s speech to Stevie on the rock and rock hall of fame ceremony. He wrote it himself and there’s funny bits I think these 2 would like.

Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac are hardly has-beens. I know that's not exactly what you were suggesting, Ryan, but they pretty easily matched Harry's numbers as recently as 2018-2019, when they did an arena tour (originally announced as a "farewell tour," though they ended up doing more after that) that sold out 30, 40, and even 50,000 seat arenas around the world. And that was without Lindsey Buckingham, who joined the band with Stevie in 1973 and was one of its driving forces until he left the band right before the 2018 tour, replaced by Mike Campbell (longtime member of Tom Petty's bands) and Neil Finn (of the New Zealand bands Split Enz and Crowded House). Also, Fleetwood Mac's seminal album "Rumours" actually experienced a resurgence, briefly re-entering the Album Top 10, in 2020. The band might well have continued to sell out arenas and stadiums had founding member and keyboardist/vocalist Chrstine McVie not died in November of 2022 at the age of 79. So, basically, if Harry Styles is still selling rooms out like Stevie Nicks when he's 75, I'd say he'll be doing pretty well for himself! 🙂

youre right, I wasnt saying anything close to what you suggested, so......we all peak my friend.. not sure why that's a mystery
@tonycamas97476 ай бұрын
Fair enough. I'm just not sure I'd say they've "peaked." Physically, obviously they have, long ago, but in terms of popularity and career success, I think they could still give Harry a run for his money, even now (or could have, had Christine not died). But maybe I'm nitpicking a little, didn't mean to make a big deal of it.

Yes. Part of not peaking is aging out. It’s the plight of us all. I wasn’t saying their quality or status as music legends are lesser
