But he could have had a sore throat, he could have eaten something that disagreed with him, he could have been a bit sick, he could be out of practice, he could be tired or out of breath, he could have strained his voice doing something else, he could be sounding different on purpose, etc. there’s a ton of reasons why a vocalist sounds different than the original song.

Harry said in one of his interviews.. that the song is written from a pov of a new mother who gets to know she isn't going to live for long and is communicating with her baby ... so the lines make so much more sense when you think of that then... What do you mean he can't hit the notes? If you are saying that, then this is clearly the only performance of this song that you watched. Every time he sings his song, he sings it differently. You guys are the best who watch ONE single performance where the notes are not EXACTLY like the studio version, and then say that the artist is not capable of singing his own song. A singer is great when he is adds variations to his songs, and Harry is doing just that, every time. Not a single performance of Sign of the Times sounds the same, they are all different one from another. There are performances where he throws studio version in the trash. Watch a few different performances and inform yourself a little, before insulting and saying he can't sing his own song.
