the one who took the pic was louis' mom. he was busy after the audition, his mom kept calling him, so he attended and said smth like he was put in the band and he was busy. H She waited for him outside the venue. He came out with his other 4 new bandmates. His mom asked for a picture and she took the first 1D pic infront of that audition hall.. rip Johann 💐

Zayne looks so incredibly thin in some of those pictures from back then. Is noone else concerned about what would have happened to him had he not left? They were under incredible stress from what they've said. It doesn't sound conducive to recovery from this sort of thing. I DO understand Louis' feelings regarding how it went down. But it's like a breath of ftesh air seeing him grow getting mature that now he can talk about it in such good words i can listen to it all day I'm so proud of him.... Such a growth and what a career .... HIM LOUIS NIALL LIAM they were good for each other eventually they fell apart and that's totally fine ... Took my youngest to a 1D concert when they were in ATL not long before he got out and I remember thinking Zayn looked miserable. He was my daughters favorite and it was kind of frustrating how obvious it was that his heart wasn’t in it. ***Hope he’s found happiness.

still being a fan of them now that i am older, i guess could say i fully understand what happened deeper, and it's something i realized while studying in uni too, they were so big that they were considered a phenomenon at how huge they were, looking back at their journey they have done sooo SO much at such a short period of time, i grew up following korean trends, k-pop, i'm a fan of bts myself too, and what happened to them are very similar, because they got so much attention their management chose to push them to do more, to seize that fame to take advantage of the attention to gain more in return, it's really just capitalism at it's finest at the cost of their overall health, and even if it's their passion, that's really draining if you're being treated as a machine and expected to do a lot of things, of course there's no denying they enjoyed it, it's evident in their actions, but as the time pass by, you could also really notice how draining it must be for them to constantly move and are expected to go up and up only. for bts' case, they were at the brink of disbandment just right after they got so huge in the west for the same situation, and i believe that's what zayn felt, and all it really takes was actually to give them a break, a time for their own to relax, rediscover their passion and own hobbies/desires instead of pushing them mors. i truly believe it was never about the band, it was how they were managed, the schedules, the timeline of what they are expected to do in such a short time, bc i still can't wrap my head around releasing 4 albums with more than 10 even more than 15 songs while ALSO CONSTANTLY touring around the world while working on the albums, like HOW. seeing how zayn is now these past few months makes me really happy, he's been vocal about the lads again, talking about how he's reminiscing their good times and appreciating their discography, i'm happy now, still really holding on to a reunion tho, i can't let go of that especially when the band anniversary is my birthday, i mean 😆😩♥️

I still remember the start of OTRA in like February l, Zayn was so active via Twitter and posting abt haribo gummy bears and how much he was enjoying tour. & as fans were so happy & holding on so tight to this current demeanor bc it was more positive than WWA. to see him happy again was so awesome so when he left in March it really shocked everyone because we thought he was happy. I cried for weeks and then cried at OTRA San Diego when they sang spaces bc it resonated so closely ! 8 years down the road I’m so happy they are all healing and doing what THEY want to do . Now I just have to buy 5 tickets instead of 1 💙

Probably that is the main reason Zayn still doesn't contact any of them that much. The other bandmates might have neglected Zayn and his problems too much in his last few months because of the busy schedule, concerts, interviews. It's sad that often times, adulthood really taints those pure childhood/teenage friendships that u thought would last forever. Sometimes, when u grow up, shit just changes and u don't even know why or how but somehow u and that friend all of a sudden are no longer close. Pride, schedules, disagreements, or whatever else can make u grow apart, even despite u giving ur best efforts to try to get it back to how it used to be. But, in the words of Harry, it's just not the same as it was... and it sucks

I remembered when they held a concert in Manila, the fans camped outside the venue a day before the concert. They're that excited to see them (too bad Zayn wasn't with them). And even the organizers requested for a 2 day concert since thousands of fans were not able to buy tickets. They waited 1D to have a concert in the Philippines since their debut. 1D was super famous in the Philippines back in the days. Actually even now many still know them and their songs.
