Looking over my notes, nothing to indicate Harry was particularly attached to Zayn. From what I remember in the reading, I'm pretty sure Harry wanted Zayn to stay in the group but outside of that, I don't think so.

I look at it as their overall energy. In some charts such as this one there can be indicators of timing like reuniting or having on off energy!

I also was surprised considering Harry's public image. With the other readings we covered, the only other one he seem attached was taylor swift. The other ones he was fairly detached. I guess certain people just bring out that more sensitive side of him.

I know everyone fandom and readers alike shy away from culture, class and socio-political reasons for the jarring aspects of two teenagers being lumped together as a necessity to stay in a competition that could enhance and change their lives. Its massive though. Harry's mentor and best friend and 1D music director Ben Winston introduced him to z^onist ideology. Most of the 1D bosses were pro z^onist. Zayn back then was from a Muslim family. He is pro Palestine, and now zayn daughter is part Palestinian. I can see Harry being overwhelmed by Zayn being critical of his ideology and the company he keeps. Because Harry is so entrenched in the cult of that ideology, and he loves and respects his mentor so much, it can appear zayn being suffocating antagonistic and negative...when zayn just wants to protect his younger impressionable friend/ work colleague. Zayn would have no patience for a racist ideology especially one that bsck then villanised his faith and religion. Class is another especially in British society. Harry comes from more lower/ upper middle class. Zayn lower working class. It works for working class David Beckham and posh class Victoria Beckham because they call each other out on it, taking it and not getting offended or overly sensitive.

I agree stuff like this has a big impact, which is why I appreciate comments like these, because I don't follow most celebrities I cover too closely like the fans do. I see how that kind of conflict in thought could create a relationship where one party comes off as being more negative. It is crazy how class is still a big deal in Britiain, it would be interesting to cover a couple where that is a wedge for them. Thank you so much for sharing that, very insightful!
