interesting to think that your boat is so much more famous and has brought more enjoyment and adventure to millions of people than any of those extravagant super yachts. thanks harry.

It’s always such a pleasant surprise when a new Harry Dwyer vid drops. I’m partially disappointed you’re not continuing around the UK this episode, but I also appreciate you doing something different. Edit: Harry if you read this I have a small suggestion that I think might benefit your videos. I personally think adding dates would be cool because it would be interesting to be able to tie the weather and conditions in the video with the time of year, as I assume you don’t upload videos immediately after each leg, but maybe I’m wrong. I think just adding the date at the start of the video would suffice regardless of how many days a particular video encompasses.
@harrydwyer19 күн бұрын
Yes, you're right, I could add the dates into the description. This trip was back in June.

Ah, Harry, what a life you lead! The Côte d'Azur, Goodwin gliding through those impossibly blue waters ... it’s the stuff of postcards and Instagram envy. I spent about eight years working on superyachts myself back in the late '90s and early '00s. They were already impressive back then, but now? They've grown so much you’d think they were auditioning to be floating cities! Goodwin, though, is a classic beauty, effortlessly elegant and perfectly at home in those chic waters.

Gosh that brought back some happy memories from my younger years. Travelling down the autoroute, feeling the heat on the windows as we got close to the south of France and launching our boat into the med. We did that trip a number of times in the 80s with a Flatacraft Force 4 RIB and 60 HP Mariner outboard. In 89 we towed an 18 foot Fletcher Vigo cabin cruiser with 85 HP Suzuki down to Cogololin, which is near St Tropez, launched and travelled along the same section of the Med, stopping at ports overnight and travelling across the border into Italy. We spent 2 weeks afloat touring the Med, sleeping on the boat and our trip was published as a 5 page article in the November 94 edition of Motor Boat Monthly, as it was called then. And of course, we stopped at the Isle St Marguerite to have a look around the castle and see the cell where the man in the iron mask was imprisoned. I remember breaking a prop on shallows backing onto a mooring on the Island, fortunately we had a spare. Anyway, if you are reading this Harry, I was the guy that made the comment about using a three bladed prop rather than a four, some months back.
@harrydwyer19 күн бұрын
Sounds like a great trip, wish we had gone into the castle... and I wish we could sleep onboard, maybe the next upgrade.

Loved the episode Harry 👌🏼 We’ve done the same trip to the south of France with our boat four or five times. It’s such a brilliant place to holiday. If you look up Port Grimaud (it’s like a little Venice on the Mediterranean) it’s incredible. Directly opposite StTropez and Saint Maxine. Some of the best cruising grounds in beach clubs in the world. You can even rent holiday villas with Boat birthing in your back garden. ❤
