Well, I'm certainly relieved that when you said your 'luck [had finally run] out" it didn't mean you'd capsized, but it was certainly touch-and-go there for a tic. Or tick, as the case may be. Here's hoping no Lyme disease for Charlie and smoother running next time. As always, well done on such an incredibly classy series. 10s for editing, music, and overall production value!

I've said it on every video, but this is the best series I've seen anywhere in years. Watching the first video I thought "how will he get around the top of Scotland?? Nah, he'll take the Caledonian Canal." Well, you've taken no shortcuts, and you've accidentally become an adventurer in the process. I've seen some "should we turn around?" situations on the water, and you've just made them all look like absolute childsplay. So glad you made smart choices and were able to use your significant skills at the helm to both survive and create this fantastic episode. And as we all know by now, Charlie is an excellent and competent first mate, and excellent under pressure.

Fair play to you. I watched the episode early this morning with subtitles so as not to wake my partner as I couldn't sleep. When you came across the gentleman in the bothy in the dark i couldnt hear his voice but thought to myself " I bet its Richard " and then you showed his face and it was. I picked him up a few years ago when he was hitching to Skye bumped into him in Toridon at the cafe a year or so later and now this morning through you're amazing journey he has come to me again. Synchronisty! I love it! Good luck with your adventure and all the best to you and all the best to Richard. Im blown away!

Hi harry and Charlie,I’ve said it before and I will say it again, this series is the best thing on KZbin ever 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Watching the cape wrath struggle with them waves brings back some bad memories while out in my kayak..long story short I was 2 mile from shore and the worst weather rushed in without any warning, I battled ridiculous waves and a head wind to get back to the launch site which took me near on 3hrs 🤦🏻‍♂️ exhausted is an understatement.

Weirdly enough, that smaller boat may be easier to handle than a large boat.... It just fits in between the waves instead of being pushed around from peak to peak. Anyway, large waves are scary whatever craft you're in, well done. And that crack was terrifying, esp. as someone who built boats and did some bluewater sailing....

Oh wow, what an amazing episode! The long wait since the last time we saw Goodwin on the water was way too long, but man, was it worth it! My palms were literally sweaty during the Cape Wrath section - I've been to some hairy situations with my 4 meter inflatable where I was worried if we'll make it, but nothing like this, holy sh*t! Considering that waves always look smaller on video, and these looked huge, I can't imagine how scary it must have been - you guys have balls of steel pushing forward in such conditions. The cork hull repair cracked me up, it's something I'd expect to see in a Popeye cartoon, not a real-life video hahaha. I'd have tried to get my hands on some epoxy putty (although that might have been a challenge to find in the area) but this solution was definitely much cooler! Thanks for creating these videos, I absolutely love them!

It's crazy how this video got uploaded on the same day I nearly rolled my rib. Set off on a test run on my new to me 5mtr humber. I set off from the same harbour I've used for the last 8 years. I thought it was a little ruff setting off but the forecast said it would improve. Driving over the big waves with the 2nd back up rib well ahead off me the sea started to drop. The wave started to climb up and up and it was a big decision to increase power or pull back. I pulled back a little and as the wave started to come over I said I'm a gonna as I gripped the steering wheel and closed my eyes. I made it and that is why I love ribs. I've now got a broken a frame to fix and a unhappy outboard to sort but I carried on for the day. I definitely lost my bottle after that but like yourself I pushed through it. Can't wait for your next video.
