The ease of setup on that camper was impressive. When we got to camp, it felt like you had that thing unloaded, level, and fully setup in about 5 minutes (without using the awning). And that hot water! 🤌 So easy to clean up at camp.

Good stuff Harry! Cub are absolutely gold!!! We bought a Cub longreach LE and are on our trip of a lifetime around Australia! The wife and two kids have now called it home for 8 months! We agreed on a camper because I didn’t want to be towing a caravan! Legend Great review!!!

Good review, same experience, and exactly the same set up being prado and frontier. One additional benefit that I've found with the Thermal blanket in winter is that it reduces condensation on the inside roof of the camper.

Hey Harry, long time watcher and this is my first ever KZbin comment, anywhere. You might have just changed my life. I just watched your vid and my not-interested-in-camping wife just turned to me and said “that looks like fun, why don’t we get one of those Cub things?”. Um what now? So I’m on the Cub website now, you’re a bloody legend mate. Oh, and it is just a bonus that the camper is great for towing

been waiting for this video, as I said to you when over Instagram, your first walkthrough video was the reason we ordered our frontier and it arrived a couple of days before I got to catch up with you at the Adelaide Show. well worth the wait. 100% agree with everything you said about the camper from our experience, ours is a similar Spec to yours just a few things different , "Towing" is a dream with it its effortless behind the wife's Toorak Tractor Now to just wait for the flooding to go and get the river back to normal levels as the camp sites we were going to are under water currently Congratulations on the continuing partnership with Cub thats great they are looking after you

Had a cub frontier. And found the only problem we had was the heat loss with the canvas in winter and excessively hot in summer. Definitely need a tropical roof. Camper needs a diesel heater to keep worm in winter. Apart from that the camper is great.

Hey Harry - we were in front of you about a month ago Towing our Frontier with an Amarok. You pulled out the forest and were behind us until we pulled into Harvey Cheese and I was the old girl waving like a fan girl as you went past. AlsoFYI, the redarc redvision app allows you to turn off lights etc from your phone inside rather than the headunit in case you didnt know. We have the redarc, inverter and near identical Frontier except rear boxes are on order and camo canvas. Happy travels…this is our second CUB, big fans of course

WOW!!!! Cub are no doubt "tickled pink" with your review; your authentic and honest appraisal was definatly worth watching, and regarding all critical points; weight, tow feel, features, and that hot water in particular ticks my boxes! Bought a Cub weekender second hand. The issue with the bed was there was no central support for the ply. One piece 30x30mm steel bar slid in easy and now there is no sag in the ply. Also ordered replacement mattress from BCF (original was over 12 years old) and it’s been the best. Also used it as a flat bed trailer too, so handy!

It’s an interesting one right. Once you get something that suits your families needs unlikely you’d change. We’ve had a Jayco Expanda 18ft for 5 years now and with kids doing weekend sport ability to stop road side for lunch or shower them before driving home has been amazing! Sure I’d love something a bit lighter to tow some days but it is only 2.4T loaded up so towing it isn’t too bad but I don’t think I’d put it on the beach 😂 Great wrap up on it well done!

I love playing your videos with subtitles, I always love the " it takes so long to set up camper trailer" have you ever sat down and watched these people setup their 3.5t boxes of air I highly suggest to crack a beer and have a geez, I only started on a recent trip to Mt Augustus and I roughly timed 1 bloke at 45 minutes for the 25ft shitwah he dragged in, others seems like an all day affair, love the vid love the camper, we run a Trackabout as it was the only thing that ticked the boxes when we bought but would definitely consider the Frontier and other Cubs once the kids are in swags

Fantastic realworld review, not delectably biased. You could be towing a roadtrain through the glaring omission about why you had to snatch the whole 5t off the rear recovery points, but I suppose that is for another episode once you have processed that both emotionally and financially

We have a similar camper but slightly more heavy (SUV Camper). Good to see your experience with this type of camper, great review (finally an influencer who really uses stuff for a longer time and reviews then) The longer hitch is definitely a thing driving a Prado. A lithium/red arc combo will definitely be one of our upgrades when going on longer trips. Using the mini maxtraxs as levellers is a great idea!

Great video mate. As you were going through everything I was wondering what the weight got up to and it's ATM etc. Honestly that's a pretty decent weight I think for something of that size and with all that gear. I had a good look through the Cub Campers at the Sydney 4wd Show and would love to get my hands on one their their Rear Fold ones eventually. If my channel ever takes off and I can travel more like you do I think a Rear Fold would be just fine for me as it would be quick and easy to set up. I looked at the different brands, hybrids etc at the Sydney show and none of them impressed me like the Cub ones did.
