I agree with everything you said, I was quite lucky my parents came to Canada over 20 years ago. Thanks to them I got my citizenship at a very early age in life, I just want to add the health care system in Canada is very slow and inefficient. Yes, if its a medical emergency where death is probable they will treat you right away. But if you have medical issues like needing biopsies, scope, MRI, then it can take over 8 months to even get an appointment. The system is completely backed up, not enough doctors for the amount of patients. Canada was a great place to come 20 years ago, but unfortunately the Trudeau government has made the entire system inefficient with their policies. As of right now there are not even enough jobs for citizens, let alone immigrants. The economy is really bad, also the government is cutting PR targets by over 20% in coming 2 years, so it is risky right now. We are all hoping the next elections will bring a different government, that can hopefully turn around the situation for the better. Canadians at heart are welcoming, the only reason this has changed is because the economic situation is so bad, coupled with such high taxes, and lack of jobs. The politicians in turn are blaming everything on immigrants, they are essentially deflecting the blame. It is their policies that caused this mess, not the immigrants or students. This is a very bad time to come, perhaps in the next 4 to 5 years outlook will be better.
