Harry a quick tip , You can go to a nearby shop and ask for change of the 500, Ask the shopkeeper to give you 3 "100" notes, 3"50" notes, 2 "20" and 1"10" Generally these rickshaw people don't keep changes with themselves as they mainly target tourists because most of the times tourists have no change. So you don't have to deal with the problems like the rickshaw person.

The rickshaw driver was very bad. I am also a Nepali but he just ruined us all. The guy in green was a savior. The driver was misbehaving if you did not know he was saying some improper words to you and the guy in green informed you. He was very bad!! i hated that part

You faced two most frustrating persons in single day. If i was a local of Kathmandu i would personally go to police or traffic and report this driver. He was badmouthing you which is absolutely wrong and he behaved like a drunkard. These two guys needs to be confronted by Nepal police.
