Oddly enough i went there in the middle of the night last Friday. It was a full moon and i don't normally drive that far and kind of a weird thing to do since i live in S. Central Los Angeles. i drove down geology trail in Joshua Tree then drove out here in the middle of the night to watch the full moon over the windy Salton Sea. Weird night on those empty Imperial County roads. Bombay Beach was interesting even at like 11pm at night. Not exactly tourist friendly but neat to see never the less.

I visited here in 2022. What blew me away were the roads. Here we were on the ass-end of space, some cross between Tatooine and Mad Max, and yet the local roads were glass smooth. Yeah, the place was sketchy and it seemed like a great place to be murdered and never found, but it was actually well organized. I don't know if people were friendly or not since we never saw any. I felt like I was in some level of Resident Evil or Silent Hill. Impressive dedication to uniqueness in this place.

I've been there after a good rain..the entire grid of streets ends up being a giant water bowl with the berms keeping the water in, thus flooding.

Went there last year. So creepy. We were driving down from Slab City though, so it was still an improvement...

@0:22 an old decaying and crumbling town. Yet they still had enough pull to get their streets paved with fresh asphalt. Hmmm!

the waters fine , it’s the same water source as Palm Springs..the power is almost always on and good.. and there is a small grocery store in town

I seem to remember Sea Planes doing touch and goes, there in WWII started the issues with the water in the Salton Sea!

You can park there almost anywhere, even on the beach. Just don't go there during the summer months, it's scorching hot.

Yes you can park anywhere on the beach to see the art. Back in the 50s-60s people had no idea what was about to happen. They just partied and enjoyed the good weather.

my dad used to work at Salton sea base in the 50s and 60s it was owned by the sandia Corps.a part of the us atomic energy Commision

Sandy Shores real estate is cheap and it is a nice place to get away from Los Santos, just make sure you bring your own water.

How would you feel if people came to your neighborhood and graffitied sh..t broke windows and played music all night. Some of us work for a living. It's not all artists. The Bienalle is the worst thing that happens in this town.

You're definitely right the Benelli is a very bad deal for the residents of Bombay Beach disturbing the peace and littering the town people using the toilet in public spaces, melodic music all night long residence unable to sleep

What a place of disgust. created by a failure, polluted into a sewer, and still being abused by humans. just shows to go ya. I hear there's battery material out there now. good luck chuck.
