I feel you!! 😢 I’m also a programmer - web dev and living alone too. I can totally relate to feeling like an imposter all the time. Been doing it for 5 years but whenever I get a “good job” from our TL, I always question it cuz I feel like I just got lucky I got the job done. 😅 I’m glad I found your channel.

Same here with the imposter syndrome as Data Scientist. I take each project one project at a time and work from there. On weekends I take free online courses is to keep my skills and knowledge up to date.

What do you think are the challenges of being a software engineer po? What i just know about it po is coding hehe, tama po ba? and kung magrarant po kayo about the works of being a software engr, ano po kaya iyon? Hehe. Im just wondering po hehe
@dyidyii3 ай бұрын
@@qwistine.qweations siguro bukod sa fast-paced, isa sa irarant ko ung parang ang simple lang ng solution minsan sa error sa code pero inaabot pa ng ilang oras or araw to debug hahaha. or mas matagal pa ung testing kesya sa actual coding. saka ung multitasking, bukod sa need mo gawin ung code, need mo rin sya iexplain during meeting, or may questions or query na need mo sagutin, then may mga issues ka na maeencounter while coding na madidistract ka. until di mo na nabuo ung feature kasi naubos na time mo sa debugging 😂 tapos may times din na sobrang tindi ng effort mo na ibuild ung solution na ang ending iiscrap mo lang lahat para umulit sa umpisa or dahil nag iba na ng priority kaya sobrang importante talaga ng analytical skills, debugging skills saka learn how to prioritize. laging mag notes kapag may mga naiisip ka na need mong gawin saka ilista lahat ng route at possible solutions sa errors kahit gano pa kasimple un.

@raunaktamang83094 ай бұрын
1. laern by doing, 2. dont stuck in tutorial hell, 3. build project find what make you more happy the front end or back end 4. learn data structure and algorithm 5. pick one language and master it(understand how code work)
@dyidyii4 ай бұрын
to add: 1. don't be afraid to ask for help or questions (we love to learn from juniors, too because they have a fresh perspective) 2. don't be a perfectionist, just make progress and improvements with every work that you're doing. 3. I agree with building more projects, the more exposure you have with codes, the more you learn it. 4. practice reverse engineering - this helps me a lot with trying to debug a code. (method of deduction) good luck with your career!!
