Calender doesnt work when index moves 2% or more, the deep ITM hedge (also far OTM hedge) legs get priced very weirdly making big losses even if you are fully hedged at entry (at ATM things look goody goody)😀

One problem with the 2nd strategy is that we no longer have Banknifty weekly expiry. It would be great if you can explain how to do a similar trade with NIFTY Weekly expiry or Sensex. What I can think of is, since NIFTY is almost half of BNIFTY, instead of selling 100 rs strike, we can sell 50 rs strike. And instead of buying 200 points away option, we can buy 100 points away option. I hope it gives the same result.

Can u elaborate that what happens to deep ITM put options if I buyed them and didn't sell it on expiry for the stocks. Consider example (BOUGHT NTPC PUT 500₹ OPTION AT PREMIUM OF 90₹ CURRENT NTPC STOCK PRICE IS 420 ) . Now , ntpc stock is priced at 480 on the expiry day and 500₹ pe option is now at 140₹ . So, now at what price do I have to take delivery of stock as option has expired in the money (if I wish to take the delivery of stock how much amount do I need to pay stock price+ charges).
