Watched all 3 videos and every second was worth. Even someone who's never played any Arkham games would understand well. Very nice explanation. Cheers!

This was amazing. We tried to get to the bottom of the rules with my friend just now, and it didn't go that well. This made things so much clearer!

Spells are NOT often one of the two actions a player can do during action phase. Only if the word Action: appears at the spell's description. Otherwise, spells can be cast any time, ie during action phase, monster phase or encounter phase.

Amazing series! Thank you for your time to produce this video and the upload as well. It would be so nice if you cover all Lovecraftian board game, in same manner, as well. Mansions of madness, Eldritch horror, etc...

Wow man, this stuff totally got me. This can serve both as an explanation of rules and as a justification to purchase a game. Thanks a lot for such a great amount of work put into your videos. Definitely worth subscribe and like. Keep it up!

A question on the Mythos phase. It seems as it matters little the procedure to draw the tokens. Each player draws 2 tokens and in this first scenario there are 14 tokens. That means that with 4 players, you have gone through the whole cup the second round. It might of course differ in what order you draw, but the only thing which is individual is "Read Headlines". It seems as much ado about nothing just to determine 1) the order of things which will happen anyway 2) Distribute the 2 headline events to characters. Have a missed something?
@harsh-rules4 жыл бұрын
You make an interesting observation. If you're playing as a group it randomizes the outcome so different players get different things.. If you're playing solo I can see where the distribution might seem more like the same list in a different order.
@Vasarcdus2 жыл бұрын
I know I'm really late on this, but my take is "drawing 2 per player" is to keep everyone engaged through a phase that would otherwise be one person resolving 10 effects while everyone else twiddles their thumbs for 3 or 4 minutes.
@LLiivveeeevviiLL2 жыл бұрын
@@Vasarcdus I am still around! We have done like this for some games now, that wen there are fewer tokens left in the cup than it would suffice to go around the table (2 tokens/player) then we put all the tokens back in the bag. It allows for some randomness, but not as much as a full cup for every player. I think this addition of randomness goes with the randomness the card system itself presents. It is a bit weird that a system which depends so much on randomness are so strict when it comes to the tokens. True you can get some extra "Reckoning" or not at all at times, the balance might be a bit off. But if one is ok with that - which we are - then I suggest doing as we do.

Anyone know how you resolve a clue token in a neighborhood with a anomaly? Is it just done normally and unaffected?
@pantognost5 жыл бұрын
Pretty much. You spawn the clue and seed the deck as usual. You can't access it though before you deal with the anomaly
@multimedialearning444 жыл бұрын
excellent video but you did not cover the encounter phase in depth and what one does with used cards, if you did it was to swift. That is the most confusing part of the game.

I have a question. Are the 5 items on display available to purchase at any time?
@kashyyyk3 жыл бұрын
No they are not. The game will instruct you (most likely during the Encounter Phase) when you can purchase an item in the display.

Should I start with this or the card game? I wanna get into this universe.
@harsh-rules5 жыл бұрын
At this point, the Card Game is probably the safer investment at around $35 vs. $55 - $60 for the board game. There are differences between the two to be sure. The Board Game has an obvious Pandemic mechanic (may or may not appeal to you depending on how much you like Pandemic) whereas the card game (to me at least) feels more story focused. If you like it, the card game has tons of expansion content with new adventures. I don't think the board game has any expansions yet. That's my two cents at least. I wish I had a tutorial for the card game, but I haven't had the opportunity with all the other projects I'm working on.
