Thank you so much Harsha for this conversation. Commentators like Ian Smith are a rarity these days and it was a joy to hear both of you chat. Here is wishing that Ian gets his dream test series in Australia and also hope that you get to call India winning the world cup (whenever that happens).

I am listening to Harsha from school days in mid late 80s on bbc sports round up, acb , and then on Tv. This episode he did start in the style which he used to do in bbc radio by directly getting in to topic. Typical style of Harsha , I like it. No formal introduction of anything, that the beauty of Harsha style and USP.

Thats a special weapon😎 & for a real 🏏 follower can rewind ⏪ back & see that in almost all big occasions/roller coaster match - He will be the one who give the fans the real pressure/Goosebumps ☺😉.

This is awesome! Thanks Harsha and Ian. The last bit about Bhubaneswar-Cuttack made me sit up! Being from Cuttack, born in '94 - it is just amazing to think how things were back then.. One request, Harsha - could we have a collab with Jeremy Coney one day? I had a chance to listen to him growing up. I don't even remember which series or channel, it feels so long ago. But the voice of Jeremy Coney stuck with me. I just wanted to let him know how amazing his commentary/narration is!

Just love Smithy! He picks a moment and then just throws all of himself into it. There are times, though, when he has me worrying if might bust an artery or two, or blow up his sound box, the Surya catch on the boundary in the world cup final for example! I bet he goes beetroot red in the face on such moments. Knows his game inside out, for Harsha is not known for praising someone that high just for the heck of it.
