Cabinet Mission reached India on 24th March 1946. It was comprised of Lord Pethick-Lawrence, the Secretary of State for India, Sir Stafford Cripps, President of the Board of Trade, and A. V. Alexander, the First Lord of the Admiralty. The objectives of the Cabinet Mission were to secure an agreement with the leaders of all major Indian political parties regarding the framing of a constitution for India. How Interim Government was to be formulated was also to be decided.

You left out one thing sir. Cabinet Mission plan also had a provision where any province could reconsider the constitution after every 10 years. The Muslim league plan was to use this provision to make a big Pakistan including all of Punjab bengal and Assam after 10 years. Hence, INC rejected the plan.

You fail to mention it was Nehru whose remarks led to the undoing of the Cabinet Mission's plan. Jinnah had accepted it and according to Both Maulana Azad, Jaswanr Singh and many others sources, it was Nehru who gave the fatal blow!

@@gksharma9314 nehru gave speech in July 1946 saying that "we are not bound by a single thing except that we are going into the constituent assembly...". Muslim league saw this as treachery of INC and pulled out of the plan a few weeks later.

However, I don't think it was Nehru's fault alone for wrecking the plan. In a letter to one of his subordinates, Jinnah wrote that his intention was to use the plan to get a bigger Pakistan including Assam, Kolkata and haryana.

While you stated correctly the 1946 cabinet mission plan you have twisted and given spin to the reasons of Jahwrlals rejection . It was rejected by Nehru not by Congress . According to Maulana Azad it was a grave mistake by Nehru . Only later on congress rejected as Jinnah was apprehensive of Nehru intention when British would finally leave India . In fact Jinnah was correct as events unfolded later when Kashmir and sheikh Abdullah trusted his friend Nehru about the autonomy Nehru promised Kashmir if they had joined Indian union ! It’s now evident to the world what a mistake was committed by Sheikh Abdullah ! Anyway my personal opinion is that plan was the best plan to keep India united and if democracy was allowed to function properly then none would start secessionist movement . And asking for independence is birth right of every one . Texas has right to secede from United States ! Are they doing it ?

This is wrong. In November 1946, congress reversed its position and accepted the original cabinet mission plan in full. But Jinnah still didn't cooperate. Which shows that he wanted a sovereign PAK.
