Absolutely. I had the same thought. Suppose almost everybody votes for Diamond 3, Platinum 1, Platinum 2, Platinum 3 and Gold 1. But Gold one slightly has the most amount of votes. Then this counts as Gold 1 vote for the community when Platinum 2 would have been way more accurate.

Usually I'm terrible at rank roulette, but this time I was only ONE level in one game away from the perfect 0 point score :-) Having played in all those levels myself except for the one I guessed wrong, I think Hamster showed clips which are very representative of the level, so well done Hamster!

Next season you should do a warm up round, or maybe everyone throws out their worst round, because way too may people do really well, but just didn't know what they were doing in the 1st round. (Looking at you clem/winter in the finals)

I think that is fairly close to correct even a year on. Eu players do tend to be older I think, watch far more pro games and so they have a much better idea of what a build order looks like even if they are not using one, they also all even starting day one players use 5-6+ control groups. But NA players are much better at cheese and in general micro, many EU players will not really micro at all. Adepts are far less common and every EU protoss is fast expanding like HerO right now, where as on the NA ladder, you see way more Has/PrintF style games.

huh, I think that might be the first time I've seen the corn syrup problem mentioned on the internet. short version: all those ethanol fuel additives are coming from corn crops grown just for that and don't actually use much of the product. the unused material still needs to be dealt with so it gets broken down and mostly put right back into the fields but in the case of the corn syrup it actually needs to be essentially treated as low-grade toxic waste and broken down fully to be disposed of, since doing that isn't exactly free they much prefer to use another option if at all possible...so they will literally pay you to take it from them. the end result is that it gets used as filler material in almost everything since it is literally less than zero cost to put corn syrup in there. edit: and when I say everything I mean _everything_ it's everywhere from soda to canned foods to bread to _motor oil and soaps_

For the first game I guess platinum 2, so I was at least closer than them. They definitely seemed to overestimate. Very few people in diamond are going to do all of the silly things done here (bad/no unit micro, PF rush, tidy mass cannon line, mass to BCs, carriers and tempests so decisively and unnecessarily)

Here was my guesses to the matches. ( Keep in mind. This was with just what was shown in this video. I would pause BEFORE they where reasoning out their own guesses and of course before things where revealed. It made it a bit harder to judge since what I got to see was only a fraction of what they got to see of these matches. ) First match seemed like Gold. ( Part of me was also thinking Silver but I settled on Gold. ) Second match seemed like Platinum. Third game seemed like Gold. Fourth game seemed like Platinum. Match 1 was Gold. I was correct there. Match 2 was Masters. I was not correct. Match 3 was Platinum. I was not correct. Match 4 was Diamond. I was not correct. I got 1 out of 4 of them.. Considering I did not get to see the whole thing I guess that is not too bad. I did get close on the calls at least. ( With the exception of the second match that is XD )

Knew the first one was gold. They didn't notice that the players' actions were slow and focused only on one thing at a time. A diamond league terran will not forget to switch modes on the thor or get high ground vision or float a planetary around for that long, they know they're on the clock and can't risk getting proble blocked, also THERE WAS NO PROBE BLOCK. I'm a diamond terran and I'm almost offended.
