This is a surprisingly competent game. Despite not having features like shift-clicks, it has one of the best implementation of building animations. Graphics are very clear to understand too.

Honestly since this is a Minecraft mod you can probably stack other mods on top of it too with no issue. It's probably really quick to cobble together an expansion pack or 2 from mods that add extra mobs. And of course there's always shaders to make things look 👌

Imagine playing this with some people in RTS mode and others in normal minecraft mode at the same time. You could either play a commander with some players as "hero" units, or asymmetric style and have Commander vs survival players.

I really hope this mod blows up and gets a bunch of Addons with that purpose in mind. There are plenty of great RPG style mods that could be implemented to give a set of players on one or both sides to act as hero type units in a symmetric or asymmetric style of game mode, I would love to see people making new factions and features using content for other mods for the RTS side so people can come up with some crazy combinations. Imagine someone pulling the stuff from Alex’s Mobs/Caves or Ice and Fire to make new units, or from Ars Nouvea for a new Mage type faction or a new mechanic, Create is also another that could be implemented. Archimedes Ships for boats and Airships as units. An actual End faction is possible with mods. You could make a whole Aether or Betweenlands faction easy. There’s so much that could be implemented with this framework it boggles the mind.

@@bookwyrmbaneoftheplothole8500 I think normal players acting as "Hero" units would work right now if you install mods that make players OP like Apotheosis which allows them to get gear that will make them very hard to kill so scaling would work despite unit health and damage being inflated as is (you can either give them the stuff as a player in creative via commands/creative inventory or give them several hours to grind up to the level before you start RTSing but that might not be as fun)

Alternatively, we could add the steve faction instead bc there are quite plenty of ideas to go with on that one: -Knight (can switch between a sword, trident, or axe + armor & shield) -Mace Knight (mace & wind charge + armor & shield) -Archer (can switch between bow or crossbow) -Chemist (potion thrower like witches) -Cavalier (knight/mace knight unit upgrade) -Donkey Cavalier (archer/chemist unit upgrade) -Elytra Glider (flies while moving, but lands into the ground when stationary) -Wolf -Fox -Snow Golem I can see the faction being more reliant on upgrades compared to the other 3 or alternatively, being more micro heavy units bc they don't really have a big unit.

That is kinda my experience playing stock CnC 2 Tibsun hard AI skirmishes. They do execute a solid strategy with near-perfect micro that indeed can win against a human person. Yet they can only execute that one particular strategy and literally nothing more. They can of course be outmacroed by a smarter long-term growth strategy, or can be absolutely cheesed to death. And there are just oh so-so many cheeses of all sorts of different flavours in CnC, the AI being every time like the first time vulnerable to these sneaky exploits

Yes that's what Minecraft looks like when your not in RTS mode. I'm a Minecraft player not an RTS player, and the mode you were in was Creative thus why you were able to destroy blocks on contact instantly, your also semi immortal in Creative, only a /kill command or the void would get you in a creative mode, now if command blocks enabled the /tp commands to yourself on repeat would cause you to not move, status effects like mining fatigue while TPing to yourself creates situations where you can get extremely trapped and things, but don't overthink it, glad you bought Minecraft, I'm sure you can combine the mod with other mods to add interesting aspects to the game as alot of mods can stack believe it or not, for instance Terrain/Biome mods, you can add danger to both players by adding Mobs from mob mods etc. Really depends what exactly you want really.

The sound effects and alert are from aoe as well And funny enough vanilla evokers also have special interactions with red and blue colored sheeps where they play the aoe 1 monk converting sound effect and change the color of the sheep
