A walk to Harter Fell (653m) in Eskdale from Jubilee Bridge at the bottom of the Hardknott Pass in the Lake District. Due to the weather conditions we decided to do an "out and back" route to Harter Fell, returning on the same path as the ascent. Distance was around 3 miles.

Nice video, brings back some nice memories of being up there a few years ago. Always fancied a wild camp on there, enjoying the Coniston and Scafell peaks Regards James

Thanks James. We enjoyed the day, despite the weather. We would definitely do this walk again as it is a fairly steady walk all the way. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Cheers. Eddie.

Nice one Eddie and I thought the views weren’t too bad from the summit. The clouds gave it some atmosphere. Well done to both of you.

Thanks Mike. Our luck with the weather finally ran out on! We were determined to do a walk as it was my birthday on this day. What better way to celebrate my birthday than to be out on the fells in the Lake District! We both enjoyed the day. Thanks again. Cheers. Eddie.

Nearly missed this one Eddie, I didn't notice this video earlier, another good one, and the views were still good despite the inclement weather, it did look windy at the summit, (still not as windy as Nine Standards Rigg!) I like all your music choices too. Mary.🗻

Thanks Mary. Yes it was windy on the top, but not as bad as Nine Standards, ha! We were determined to do a walk on this day as it was my birthday. I wanted to celebrate my birthday on the Fells. There is nowhere better! We enjoyed the day, despite the weather. Thanks again Mary. Cheers. Eddie.

Great opening, very professional looking and for the time of year, apart from the heavy rain shower, I thought the weather and the views were not too bad. Never been up there before but have to put this on my todo list and the hike and the views looked stunning. I see you have another longer video up, which I will watch on Saturday morning, as I want to watch the whole lot through, cheers Alan

Thanks Alan, I am getting to grips with the software I bought recently. I would certainly do this walk again as it is a steady climb up all the way, with one final steep climb to the summit. Our luck with the weather ran out on this day, but we were determined to do a walk as it was my birthday. What better way to celebrate than to be out on the hills! Thanks again. Cheers. Eddie.

Thanks, we really enjoyed this walk, despite the weather. We will probably do this again in better weather as it was a very enjoyable walk. Hope you get back to fitness soon. Thanks again. Cheers. Eddie

Very enjoyable again. Thank you! Nice to see you both smiling in spite of that cutting wind, and that weather is part of the rugged essence of the place up there. Were those jackets really warm enough, I wonder. On the way up I imagine they were, due to the exertion, but coming down? All the best, Lizzie.

Thanks Elizabeth. This was on my birthday last year, so we were determined to do a walk for my birthday. We had layers of clothing under our jackets to keep warm and it was a fairly short walk. I have just returned from two days at the Lake District, but got no filming done due to the bad weather. I will be returning again soon. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Have a great weekend. Cheers. Eddie.

Excellent video despite the lousy weather. Great choice of music as well. Bit of a geeky question, but I'd be interested to know what camera and editing software you use, please? Thank you.

Thanks, yes we enjoyed this walk despite the weather. I use a GO PRO Hero 6 black for the video shots with an external mic. I use a Nikon D5600 with an 18-140mm lens for the still shots. I use Power Director 16 for editing. Power Director 17 has just been released, I don't know what extra it has over 16. I previously used Nero Platinum 18, but found Power Director easier to use. Hope this helps. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Cheers. Eddie.

Another great Fell walk Eddie, shame you didn’t have the weather for the views, did you manage to see the remains of the Roman Fort at Hardknott? ATB Anthony 👍

Thanks Anthony. Our luck with the weather ran out on this day, but we still enjoyed the day. We didn't stop to see the Roman Fort due to the weather. We are planning more walks in that area and will definitely plan it in to one of our routes. Cheers. Eddie.
