We do not condone child endangerment. This storm approached fast without warning. We took shelter in the only shelter that was available at the time - the truck seen in the video. Had we had access to better shelter such as a house, garage or solid state structure, we would have sought shelter elsewhere.
Moving the vehicle was to find a better, more secure location away from flying debris and high wind. We were not purposely storm chasing.
This storm claimed the lives of 2 people in South Dakota as it ripped through the state. We respect the lives of the deceased and the damage done to people's property.
