Nice video, brings back lots of memories. Reg Smythe used to live opposite my Gran in Stephen Street, West Hartlepool, and I've heard claims that Andy Capp was based on the look of my Granddad (Albert Hicks) . Having said that, I reckon 90% of men of that era wore the dark suit and flat cap for most occasions

I miss living down the headland where I was born and bred and where most of my family live. The memories I have of it family, friends schools I went to best part though the pubs. The Bridge Hotel was my watering hole lol.
