Having owned his RB28 R34 GTR since 2013, it was time for James to part ways and move on to other projects. Accompanied by his good friend Neill in his RB28, enjoy this piece documenting his last drive. James would like to thank V-Spec Performance, Cheng, Neill, Rey, Gemma and Custom Performance Garage for all the help over the years, as without them the car would never have reached it's peak.

Yeah, folks are getting butthurt over the Z35 being built on an improved Z34 chassis, but they forget the R34 Z-tune is essentially the same under the skin as a RWD 2.0l R32. If they were to just keep making the GT-R based on the R34 from here on out (which they kind of are since they started to make parts for them again), I would buy one in half a heart beat. The feels from the sound of that RB singing at 8-9k is something few other affordable engines can duplicate.

For those of you who keep asking "are you sure its RB28, engine says RB26?". Let me clarify. 99.9% of R34 GTRs came with RB26s (only exception being Ztune and some outliers), its common practice (not just with GTRs but EVERY CAR) to bore, stroke out a motor to increase its displacement. These 2 cars have been stroked to a HKS 2.8l hence why its an RB28. RB26 = RB 2.6l. AFTER the stroker upgrade it become a RB28 = RB2.8l. If they fit a 3.0l bottom end, it would become RB30 and so on.
