By the time an eye is bad enough that it needs to come out, pets typically can't see out of it. By removing it you're just taking away the pain, they're already used to using just one eye! Bravo to you for taking such good care of your kitties, love to see it 🥰

It’s cute that she already has a “patch” over that eye. My one eye boy loves to make you rub his socket. I think it gets itchy or something. Glad to see she bounced back well.

If she had to lose an eye I do enjoy that it was on the side with her black patch because it now looks like she has a regular eye and a Void Eye.

I work at a veterinary ophthalmology clinic and I just wanna say, you're a wonderful cat mom ❤ You've done great and it is very clear that Lady is much more comfortable. Those sequestrums are a true pain to deal with and often always require surgical intervention. Glad to hear she is doing so well ❤

I work in vet medicine as a receptionist: totally not a medical professional here. The fact that you kept on top of the drops is a testament to your pet parent skills. A lot of my clients think they can slack on meds, drops, other Rx stuff. You guys are amazing pet parents. And it looks like your doc is phenomenal! The area where her eye used to be looks beautiful! One of my favorite patients is a one eyed pup who pops in to visit and get treats even when she doesn't have an appointment. Go lady go! Rock that one eye gorgeousness

One-eyed cats are the best! One of mine lost an eye, walked a little drunkenly for one day, then navigated so much better than before. Bonus - less pain in his life! Because it's on the darker side of her face it's not really noticeable that the eye is gone. I can't believe how patient she was during her at home care though. Most animals would be biting, scratching and squirming to get away.

Sweet beautiful baby Lady. My brother dog lost his eye but was still the happiest boi. He even became a therapy dog. He passed a few months ago and is greatly missed. I wish you and your sweet baby lady and little family many happy times ahead.

We had a sweet tabby boy named "Herman" who came to us as a stray and then, shortly after, came home after a fight which resulted in him losing an eye. He was a champ and very very sweet and quickly adapted. It was actually kind of funny, in a sad and really cute way, watching him reacquaint himself with the fact that matter and space exist on his right side. Lady seems like a very special girl and and champ like Herman was.

My hamster also had to have prescription eye drops! Fortunately in her case, it was a minor injury and we were able to save her eye. Funnily enough, she only has one ear...her mom and/or littermates chewed it off when she was a pup.

One of my mom's cats only has one eye and she really, really loves it when we gently run the eye socket. I don't know if Lady would like it or if you've already tried it, but that's all I've got. (Also, I'm a groomer and my favorite thing to do is tell my manager that we need to file an incident report anytime a dog comes in with only one eye because, "I lost the eye! I don't know where it went!")

Had to put my dog down because of a bad eye. She had other underlying medical issues and had gotten to a point where she couldn't walk. We took her to a vet to help, but her eye actually ruptured while we were there and the vet couldn't save her. RIP PJ. So glad you didn't have to go through that with Lady.
