Some great riding, some not so great, and a Ducati Streetfighter V4S that looked like it was a right handful.
Couple of whoopsies at the hairpin as well.

I live in Penrith just off the A686, most weekends or summer evenings you hear the police and ambulance goes up to the pass, there goes another one chucking his bike and himself off the road.😅

Both 390 and 600 riders added throttle and lean at the same time. 390 is well capable of handling a hairpin on the edge of the tyre.

You. The guy on the 600 was slightly over the white line with his head a bit too close for comfort to the oncoming Merc as well. Glad they both came out ok.

I have to disagree about the caption you put up, saying the rider was pushing the bike past its limits. It’s was the rider was pushing his limits. That KTM is more than capable, the rider was not. He was trying to put on a show for the camera, probably aware that you upload the videos and wanted to see himself, show his mates or family how skilled he is, or is not. Ride your own ride, that decision to go around the bend in a dramatic way, rather than just go round as you would without anyone watching, potentially can cost you your bike or/and your health

Yep, seemed to freeze up and not let the bike sort itself out, forced the front to lose traction ? Proper technique would have gotten round at that speed.

I’ve ridden bikes for wheel over forty years.. road racing trials enduro motocross. This video encapsulates why I cringe at some antics by bikers on the road now. No handed ~ one handed ~ knee out but barely over ~ wrong side of the road ~ pathetic wheelie’s blah blah blah. TAKE IT TO THE TRACK? when the flag drops the BS stops.

Great location! You can see the KTM rider adding lean angle when he should’ve just held his line a little longer, before starting to pick it up. Been riding hard in groups of up to forty riders for 35 years. The only two times a rider went down were well within the speed limit AND riding to the conditions. Go figure! 🤷‍♂️

@@MegaJamie132 I have 35 years riding experience. Probably a million kilometres. Years of racing experience, a few at national level. Best place finish of eleventh in a national 600 ss championship. Two wins and a round win in state level. I’m no one special. But that boy has quite a lot of learning to do. [edit] I do know a few guys who are world championship level. Now, THEY certainly DID run rings around me!

There is a mix of riders, some are lacking in skill like the guy at 6:52 who was turning into a head on collision before freaking out and dropping it, and then the others who are just using the whole road if there is no oncoming traffic. Nothing wrong with the latter, we are taught to use all the road surface available (at least in the UK) to make sharp turns easier to navigate.

The cafe is a big miss thought a burger van or a rebuild would have been a business opportunity. Writing this as I watch video why I riders losing it on that corner so much if they going to show off for the camera do it it on the second run and prepare

The car the other week was a tester to see if they could get a burger van on the hill,i think it was a ploy that worked as the council wouldn't want a greasy spoon half way down so agreed the cafe rebuild instead.

The guy who dropped it seemed to just be trying to turn with handle bars rather than weight shifting etc ir proper technique ? Not quite sure really but defo seemed to turn in more rather than ease off and lift bike up, but maybe he just washed out and was too late to do much anyway? Whatever poor technique and trying too hard was to blame. Too much showing off going on here imho take it to the track ifyou want to ride like that and see how good you really are. Bikes are fun and a great way to chill out too, no need to be on the limit risking life and limb to enjoy the ride.

Agree. Personally, trying to get your knee down around that corner, which is 20- 30 mile an hour tops, is unnecessary. Counter steer is all that's needed. Anything 40 plus is when body position comes in. In my opinion, anyway, I've only been riding 2 years, but it's from what I've gathered in that amount of time. I think he just gassed it too soon when the bike was leaned right over.

It's people like you who encourage people to do stupid things and act up to the camera. We have the same issue on the Snake Pass in Derbyshire. We hear the ambulance at least twice a month going to a bike accident or death. All because some guy take pictures and video's of bikers trying to get their knee down. Remember, the accidents are 90% rider and 10% you for encouraging this type of behaviour. The police should look at video's like this and prosecute bad and anti-social behaviour, and then thank you for doing their job for them. Just for the record, I am a biker.

These riders r too lazy or dont know how to corner on sharp bends. No need to use the other lane. You need position discipline at all times even if your a supermoto rider. You wanna be a hooligan? Do it on a track.
