My grandfather had to sell his 85 acre farm to the county for a park which was a total of 1 square mile. The park is nice, they built a lake for boat racing ( the kind you row). There are 2 golf courses, and a few acres left that are farmable, sort of. There is no hunting so the deer population is pretty heavy and they eat a lot of the corn crop. Some of the farmable land is covered with solar panels. This is what we do in New Jersey. Build houses, office buildings, warehouses, and we have those whores, Toll Brothers who will build a house anywhere. And Matrix Development who will build a warehouse all along the NJ Turnpike. Politicians and greed have ruined NJ.

There's a four-digit solar farm going in near me in NW Ohio. Can't fault the landowners for entering into the contracts for the project, but seeing everything that is happening with it, it will be a tough, TOUGH time to reconvert it back to tillable productive farmland, if ever

The reason price of corn is down is the amount of electric cars that have been sold don't need as much corn for fuel causing the price to drop the old supply and demand deal unfortunately.
