Tablo wasn't lying when he said he doesn't wish anyone to go through what he went through. His parents were strictly against him making music and so they forced him to enroll into Stanford university (which he btw graduated with honors in English literature and creative writing in only three and a half years). However years later after Epik high was already very well known, fansites started claiming his academic background was untrue, painting him as a liar. They built a group called Taijinyo which gained over 190'000 people in just one day. It became front page news in Korea when one of the website managers claimed Tablos academic record didn't make sense. Tablo himself said "It felt like the entire country i lived in had decided to basically mindf*ck me" Even after Tablo showed proof with official documents, they still didn't believe him. Tablo went as far as having the university registrar re-print his documents on camera, in order to make people believe him. Right at that time, Tablo's wife just had given birth to their daughter Haru, but Tablo and his family recieved death threats instead of congratulations. Eventually police filed an arrest warrant domestically and with Interpol after also confirming Tablo's academic records. Tablo also sued 22 people for criminal defamation. Sadly it was during the trial time that Tablo's father passed away. He was already ill but the stress from all of it was probably the last straw which makes this whole story even more bitter and heartbreaking.

The way tablo talks about his daughter, you're 100% right cait.. something about it makes you want to cry. You can feel the amount of love he carries in his heart for her. Having a close bond like that with your child is very important. Tablo mentioned how "he can't believe he went through the stuff he did at her age" is another heavy weight to comprehend. My parents had a really tough/traumatic childhood and because of that, they swore to bring me and my brother up with clean clothes, a loving family with no dysfunction or violence and a roof over our heads. I am so thankful for them for remaining strong and keeping their promise. I'm a grown adult now and can look back and appreciate everything. I know your daughters feel the same way about you guys. It blows my mind how bts have been able to work with their idols since childhood. How crazy is that. They even have deep conversations together and suga and namjoon can even call or text tablo for advice when they're not feeling the best.

Epik High's discography is just astounding. And their lyricism is just unparalleled. The album that resonates most with me is We've done something wonderful. It just made me cry so much about how raw and real they can be about being adults and being lonely.

Epik High is amazing! They have so many really thoughtful and poetic songs but also fun and their personalities are hilarious. I've seen them in concert twice and it's part amazing hip hop and part comedy show - but 100% good times!

Tablo is great before I knew his music I used to watch him and his family on the show The return of superman its really so sweet to see that years later he's known as Haru's father his wife was a great actress too. Like you said Cait I also love his speaking voice he used to have a podcast it was so good his voice when rapping is too For Josh no he's not at yg anymore he left years ago they are at Woollim Entertainment now DJ Tukutz and Mithra Jin are the other two members of epik high Mithra Jin is my guy love him, but album wise sleepless in_______ is my favorite and songs on that album I love are eternal sunshine and lovedrunk the mv for lovedrunk is actually DOPE IU stars in it and it's like an epic movie it's really cool

Josh, please don't apologise for a "long" video when (both) your responses are so heartfelt, and one of the many reasons we come to your videos. It was very moving to hear you both speak about the importance of being "present" parents; I'm a teacher and work with many children who have been dealt a very rough hand and genuinely aren't buying what the post-covid world is trying to sell them. I feel that Suchwita is not only an interesting insight into people important to Yoongi/BTS but also aspects of our society generally. I re-watched this episode with you after looking more into EH's past hardships and have acquired real admiration for their music and message. Get better soon.

I just found out the greatest scandal that made tablo lost his peace. Read the 'prosecution of daniel lee' an article by stanford magazine. It's kinda long but it's worth reading. Mad respect to this guy! He's a genius! 💯💯💯💯 I just hope he has now found the peace he deserves. I know he's happy where he is right now, music wise, perosnal life with wife & daughter, friends. But that time was very hard for him. Ahhh he's just amazing! No wonder ppl like suga & rm rlly look up to him! Even getting inspiration from EH's music! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Thank you for sharing your experiences Josh, I had no idea you went through things like that as a child. I think you both would really like Tablo because he's been through a lot as well and has always been very open about his deep depression. He even talked about how he felt like he was useless when it came to his wife and daughter when she was a baby because of some really bad rumors some hate website spread about him. BTS and Epik High are my comfort artist but they comfort me in different ways. BTS comfort me as if a close friend but Tablo and Epik high comforts me more as a parent figure. Both have become huge parts of my life and saved me in different ways. I found out about Tablo when he was on a family program called Return of Superman with his daughter when she was 7 years old at the time. I got into his music at that time. Still love that show its where celebrities dad have to spend 48 hours with their kids without the mom. Tablo Had issues when ppl didn't believe he graduated from Stanford. It almost ruined his career as his wife's career she is an actress btw. It was when their daughter was just born too. So sad time for them but I'm glad they got thru it they are wonderful family.
