A sad story. But to feel comfortable enough to expose this on Yoongis show, he must have tremendous faith in Suga to expose himself for the first time.

I think it is very graceful of you to accept “friends” who aren’t there for you when you are down. But I think you need to expect more than that from TRUE friends. That’s what Yoongi did for him. That friendship is what saved him. When no one else was there.

I really appreciated how you broke down the Korean references for us non Koreans. You were able to give a lot of context to things that on 1st listen went right over my head. Thank You

I think I've enjoyed your Shuchita reaction videos the most! Thank you, you always give insight I can't learn anywhere else, hopefully, we can have more Shuchita episodes sooner rather than later, what a great journey indeed

I don't comment much, but wanted to say thank you and greatly appreciate you! Love that you share context that i as a non-Korean would not have understood or when you clarify something that wasn't translated correctly. Borahae!

I agree with you. SUGA offered to pay for the expenses during a time when he didn't have much yet so I doubt that he was just flexing. If the subtitles were accurate, this was in 2016 so they haven't debuted in the US yet, so they don't earn as much yet. I am glad that he seems to have a lot of good friends surrounding and supporting him.

if i remember correctly, there was also another bighit trainee who was sick ang suga paid off his hospitalization himself and even took care of him. this was before they even debuted. or right after. i just cant remember the full story. but it just shows Suga’s real trait. with or without all the fame and glory. how to have a friend like him
@runnim-n6t8 ай бұрын
A trainee friend of his once told a story on KZbin that when he was sick Suga visited him and took him to the hospital. Not only that, Suga also paid the hospital fees and accompanied him until he recovered. At that time they were both still trainees

Thank you so much for this reaction to the last ep of Suchwita (for now). As I said before, we always love to watch with your added Korean impressions and insights. I felt like we got a double bonus, when Yoongi talked about his journey doing Suchwita, and then also when you talked about your journey watching Suchwita, as well as getting more into BTS (even though you were already well familiar with them). I’m confident we will continue getting content from Hybe and/or Bangtantv that is BTS related. And in less than 4 months from now, Jin will be discharged! 🙌🏼

Hoping for a Season 2. We will see when he is back. Nice to know he has some really good friends who will be there for him now while his BTS brothers can't be there in person as much. Really do appreciate your insights and translation confirmation and corrections. Hope you will continue your reacting journey too.

46:42 Yes, the D-Day concert was awesome! I was lucky enough to see SUGA/Agust D both nights in Oakland, CA. He seemed a little surprised at the enthusiasm of the audience on the first night, commenting "Oakland, you are no joke!" And we didn't find out until much later that he was still suffering from a bad cold he'd caught in Chicago -- he gave it his all at the concerts.

I called Suga my bias wrecker, BUT okay, Jimin is my bias, and the reason I started following BTS after seeing him with all BTS members in June 2021 on the James Corden Show. Then, I dived deep into the BTS RABBIT HOLE 3 times . I am watching a lot again. I follow 3 fabulous BTS reactors and 2 voice coaches, and 3 choreographers. I am waiting patiently for 2025 and hope and pray for their safe return. BTS has introduced me to South Korean history, culture, food, and so much more.. Senior Army Australia 🇦🇺

Excellent as always! Thank you for taking the time to explain the Korean context in all your videos. It makes the original content even more meaningful & interesting. Because of BTS & because of you, a part of the world has been opened up to me that I wouldn't have probably learned about otherwise, (which sort of makes me ashamed of myself). This reminds me of a memory... In 4th grade, we had a Korean girl in our class named Yun Ju (not sure of the spelling, 4th grade was A LONG time ago, lol). As far as I could tell, she was accepted & liked, but I can only imagine how difficult it would have been to be the only Korean student in an entire elementary school & her family was the only Korean family in our very small Kansas town. Our town was one of those places where if you didn't live there your whole life, you were a little bit of an outsider. I moved there in 4th grade & even though I lived there through high school graduation & beyond, I still felt "separate" than the kids who started out in kindergarten together. When we moved there, I had a Southern accent & I got made fun of for it ALL the time, so I imagine Yun Ju had difficulties with other kids as well. I felt so out of place coming from a religious school to a pubic school & the kids thought I was weird. (You know how welcoming kids are to "the new kids." NOT!) Looking back, I wish I'd taken the chance to get to know her better, but it was my first year in a new state & attending public school, so I was very nervous, awkward & shy. It seems like a missed opportunity to not have befriended her or asked her anything about Korea. I'm sorry, Yun Ju that I didn't seek you out. In my later years, I would have been brave enough to do so, but not back then. I hope you're doing well.

I always look forward to your reaction to Suchwita and similar shows because you provide context we cant get purely thru the subtitles like how close or casual their speech is or whether there actions are unusual and how well known the interviewees are as actors or singers. i looked forward to this Suchwita the most because it was obvious from Suga's concert how close they are. After finally being able to put a face to El Capitxn, I realized he was in the D-Day documentary when Suga hosted the song camp at the In the Soop location

Psychosomatic is probably more what happened there with his list of singing voice. Instead of neurological. He must have been so stressed at the time. It doesn’t help that many of these talented people were never given the eight vocal training to prevent injuries to the vocal cords which are just like any muscles in our body. You need to warm up and warm down. You can’t just sing and go on singing without proper care. I used to feel very concerned for the vocal line when they carry on doing variety shows and all sorts of activities involving their vocal cords. There was no rest on top of the no proper care and exercises for them. Always enjoy your commentary John. Thank you.

Thank you for your great commentary, John - I enjoy your videos. It wasn't until I watched this interview that I realized Jang Yijeong is not just EL CAPITXN, he's also J. Pearl (which is how he's credited on "Ddaeng". 🤯) I remember there was a Twitter photo of the two of them in Suga's studio, and everyone wanted to know that other pretty guy was (he was wearing more idol-style makeup then). 😂

Jin is coming out of military on June 2024, JHope on October 2024, and all the rest of BTS on June 2025. The guys did a lot of secret activities that’s going to be slowly released until they all get out of military. You should react to In the Soop, Bon Voyage, Run BTS…plus the secret contents that will come out…that should last until they get out. Thanks for sharing.
