Another Haruki Murakami review is up on this channel! Really looking forward to the time when I get to talk about all of his books. In this video, I talk about his latest release, The City and Its Uncertain Walls.
This one felt more contemplative than profound. But it’s always nice to come home to Murakami, isn’t it? His words feel strangely comforting and familiar. How he connects themes of memory, time, identity, dreams, love, and the blurred lines between reality and the surreal.
Whether you’re a seasoned reader of his words or just curious about his most recent release as a good gateway into his magical realism, this book is definitely worth reading no matter where you are in your reading journey. It’s light, contemplative, and melancholic.
Books mentioned:
1. Kafka on the Shore - Haruki Murakami
2. The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle - Haruki Murakami
3. Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World - Haruki Murakami
Film mentioned:
1. Taste of Cherry - Abbas Kiarostami
