This series is such a valuable public resource and I enjoyed it immensely. I challenged myself to think deeply about the various topics and maintain a transparent internal dialogue. If utilizing the term "start up" we are just at the "start" and have not arrived at the "up." Do we provide something completely different? No. Do we integrate a process that has an unfair competitive advantage? Maybe, but only potential for greater efficiency thus far. Do we have the best people? No, not yet. Are we valuable? I'd like to think so; promising but unproven. Then I asked: are we innovative? No. It was a bit discouraging because when taking the life risk to chase your dreams, being innovative, or thinking that you are, leaves a purposeful residue that can act as a guiding flare during dark times. When further pondering innovation and our value, there seemed to be another obscure layer: what could we discover? If we are not innovative through our products, how can we be, so we may draw from that reserve fuel to reinvigorate the thirsty engine to go the extra mile? Mr. Skok's inspiring final remarks lead me to the insight. What I learned within myself is innovation is all the things mentioned; the products, disruptions, problems and solutions. However, the most significant innovative element is your spirit and how that unique spirit is expressed towards positive impacts. The spirit of innovation - that passion or stubbornness or aggression or toughness or tact or composure or uncompromising intellectual prowess that defines you and your productivity is the compass that navigates us through uncertain journeys. The adventure is innovation. The challenge is innovation - Innovation is the calculated movements illuminating the rocky path along the way.

The inertia is to "do nothing" which is the default response to startups. The risk is for a company or individual to bet on a startup. Together they are reasons when having a gain / pain ratio that is an order of magnitude better than the status quo is so important
